The room was basic but just perfect for a short stay, close to the centre to walk, there is also a Metro less than a 10 minute walk away. Local coffee shops close by for breakfast. Would recommend it if you just want a room as a base.

Nice, clean but occasionally noisy at night.

Nice clean room, but its clientele can be noisy at all times of the night. Simply because its economical. Young people use it and they are not respectful of other residents. Security can at time's be lapse. We were woken at 2:30 am by a pizza delivery coming to an incorrect address. Wifi drops out with regularity in room 107.

Hostal is not hotel

Check-in time on hotels.com site is wrong. Also this place does not keep lagage. No amenity, no hair dryer. Because it is not hotel. TV, bed, shower and wifi. That's all. But TV channels are only local in spanish, shower head is broken. The price is expensive as hotels.

No air circulation

This is a simple Hostal. Room, bed, bathroom. Would have been fine except for the air. The air conditioning could not be set in the room. It could not be set below 20. There was no airflow and no fan available. The window opened only a crack and onto an internal shaft. so no airflow at all in the room. I donā€™t need a lot, but not being able to breath did not work for me. I changed over to Paco Rooms. Same price. Nicer room and bath room. Most important, the air conditioning was great!

Infelizmente, minha estadia neste hotel foi bastante decepcionante. A cama era extremamente dura, o que tornou impossĆ­vel ter uma noite de sono confortĆ”vel. AlĆ©m disso, a acĆŗstica entre os quartos era pĆ©ssima ā€“ dava para ouvir praticamente tudo dos hĆ³spedes ao lado. Para piorar, hĆ” bares na rua do hotel que fazem barulho atĆ© Ć s 5h da manhĆ£, tornando o descanso ainda mais difĆ­cil. Outro ponto negativo foi o chuveiro, cai muito pouca Ć”gua e nĆ£o esquenta pela manhĆ£. Para quem gosta de tomar banho nesse horĆ”rio, Ć© uma frustraĆ§Ć£o garantida. O elevador tambĆ©m estava fora de serviƧo, se levar malas, vai precisar subir 2 andaresā€¦ O atendimento na recepĆ§Ć£o deixou muito a desejar, com funcionĆ”rios pouco cordiais. AlĆ©m disso, o hotel nĆ£o oferece comodidades bĆ”sicas como frigobar ou secador de cabelos, o que Ć© um grande ponto negativo. Definitivamente, nĆ£o recomendo este hotel.

Security is good (24 hours front desk opens door from road on request, keys are given for each room). the rooms are clean. Major complaint: Madrid in January is freezing cold at night. The building is poorly insulated (may also apply to other hostals in this city/area) and the heating system does not really help). Rooms are uncomfortable cold as a result ! serious issue for me. Worse, there is not even an electric kettle in the rooms or community area to make a warming tea. Canā€˜t understand why the owners donā€˜t make such $10.- investment.... WiFi is free but not really usable in my rooms 104 and 102 as the signal is too week. Apart from that the location is nice (metro station in 5 minutes walk).

Le plus.. L'hƓtel est bien situƩ, quartier sympa et Ơ proximitƩ d'une bouche de mƩtro. Le moins.. L'hƓtel manque vraiment d'isolation phonique au niveau des portes de chambre, couloir bruyant. Manque de linge, obligƩ de prendre une serviette de visage et donc s'en priver, pour servir de tapis de bain au sortir de la douche. Sinon accueil gentil , mais pas en franƧais, dommage..

Dans une rue calme, petit hotel mais Ć  10min Ć  pied de la place d'Espagne. La chambre est assez rudimentaire (1 lit, 1 chaise, 1 armoire et la salle de bain/WC) mais la literie est pas mal. En tout cas c'est propre et pas de problĆØme d'humiditĆ©. Par rapport au prix et le temps qu'on y a passĆ© (3 nuits) c'Ć©tait trĆØs bien

The staff was friendly. The WiFi was horrible and inconsistent. I prepaid for breakfast but they didnā€™t honor it. Only the front desk can change the temperature of your room via a secret door where they sit so if you want it warmer or colder you have to ask them to change it. I order 2 double beds and it was 1 queen bed in the room.
