This is my #WeekendGetaway suggestion, Magnetic Island. If you live in or around Townsville I suggest you discover or rediscover Magnetic Island. The ferry runs regularly, there's plenty of accomodation, great food and beautiful views. In June/ July you can even check out the butterfly forest. (Ask a local) Bliss!
