Convenient, near some of favourite food places.
However, one of rooms 1803 had some ants and weak water pressure. Another room 2813 had to have the aircon reset because not cold at all
Location is perfect. 1km walk to prime locations. Breakfast was satisfying l. Staff was friendly. Hotel cleanliness is well maintained. Rooms are huge and spacious.
I always stay in The Pines wherever I visit Malacca. I like the quiet location and also walking distance to nearby attractions. Reception is friendly. Clean room and ample parking space.
I had a wonderful stay at the pines hotel. Check-in was a breeze even though we came early and our room view at the 20th floor was quite nice especially at night. The breakfast spread was not too bad either and there were quite a good and varied spread. I did not get to try the swimming pool but it looked awesome too! I personally found the location of the hotel to be excellent but for those who prefer to be near shopping areas or malls, the hatten hotel might suit them better. Overall, I will definitely stay here again.
Very spacious room and comfy bed, but room sound proofing is poor as noises from nearby rooms can easily be heard. Location not close to many eatery places.
I recently stayed at The Pines Melaka for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive to and from Jonker Street, making it easy to explore the area. We stayed on the 27th floor, and our room offered a beautiful view. However, we were woken up at 5/6 am each morning by the loud chanting from the nearby mosque, which was quite disruptive. The bathroom in our room was very spacious and included a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Although the room was decent, it wasn't the cleanest for a 4-star hotel. Nevertheless, all the basic necessities were provided and free parking available.

Liked: Staff & service
I was expecting better standard with the hotel, but it turned out to be a disappointment.
The staffs were friendly, and the room is spacious.
However the room that we stayed in had a broken shower head, and the cleanliness was below expectations. The toilet bowl seat cover was broken as well.
The breakfast was just normal, with little variety.
Overall I would say it is just normal.
The hotel does not have fancy furnishings and the junior suite has a very small bathroom. The shower cubicle was leaking water onto the outside floor, making the bath mat wet. We think it is either the grout or the glass seal that lets water seep out. What we like is that the place is clean and the housekeeping staff do a good job, cleaning the rooms.

It was our second time staying at this hotel.Stayed again this round cos all the good food places are within walkable distances.highly the bulldog, a reservation only dine in for lunch and dinner.supwrber food and reasonable prices.the hotel room was a tad disappointing.booked with bathtub but unable to use as it was tilted at one side and water can't drain away.left message at the front desk to get it fixed while we are out.after so many hours, we returned to our room only to find out nothing was done.called front desk again, and they gave all sort of excuse.finally a technician came to fix but we lost the mood to use it already.the breakfast was the same for the three mornings we stayed.thumbs down all the way and limited variety.overall a let down stay this time.avoid booking rooms with bathtub cos all not in good condition and the service was lacklustre.book at your own risk.
The reason I gave 3 stars, we arrived 1 1/2 hours before 3 pm check in. The room was not ready as they need to clean the room and we understand this. We booked two Junior Suite rooms. The front desk lady check us in without the room keys and took our mobile number to call us when the rooms is ready. We went for lunch, waited at the lobby still no call until we asked if the room is ready. the front desk forgot to call us though the rooms is ready. My room is cleaned, spacious but the telephone is not workings and connected to the wall! We want to book Encore show for 5.30 pm but we cant call the Front desk and I call the main line which I spent 45 minutes only answering machine. Its really disappointing because the hotel is good, the location is great but because the service its give bad rating to the hotel. As for breakfast buffet, i when down at 9.15 am, i can see the head chef checking the buffet breakfast but i am not sure what is the purpose of him there? He can see the roti canai bowl is empty which i have to ask him about it and it took 30 minutes to get a refill and Mr Hakimi was nice to check on the refills and sent some to my table! the fish ball and the fish cake for the noodles soup area is empty, no bowls for the soup until me and other guests call for it. No bowls for yogurt. The head chef job is to make sure the food is refills and the bowls and the dishes is there. Need to improve on guest service. I would stay here again and hope to see improvements.

The 2 bedroom unit was nice but as soon as we entered the room there was an issue with one of the toilets. We called maintenance and even though they came to look at the problem they never resolved it. After returning from being out all day we had to call maintenance again to fix the issue once and for all.
The biggest issue was that the air con stopped working during the night which made it unbearable to have a good night sleep. The entire apartment was warm until around 6:30am. We attempted to rectify this but the panels were not working.
The breakfast was of poor quality. More suited to a 2 star hotel.
The ladies at reception were nice and offered good service and as mentioned before the apartment was very nice.
