"We recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Viceroy Ombria Algarve, and it exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always eager to help without being intrusive. The architecture is truly a standout feature: modern yet rooted in the local aesthetic, with beautiful design touches throughout that made the entire property feel luxurious and unique. The pools were absolutely incredible—serene, well-designed, and perfect for relaxing under the Algarve sun. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, and every space feels modern and updated, clearly reflecting the care that went into its recent opening. We also spent some time at the spa, which was nothing short of perfection. From the ambiance to the quality of treatments, it was a top-tier wellness experience. The on-site restaurants were also excellent. Each meal we had was flavorful and beautifully presented, with a variety of options that catered to both local and international palates. One important note for future guests: the hotel is located in the countryside, so it’s a good 30–45 minutes by car to the coastal Algarve towns and beaches. A rental car is definitely recommended if you plan to explore beyond the resort. "Ideally situated for access to all amenities along the waterfront at Olhao. Staff were very helpful and informative when needed. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was v good, with lots of choice. Restaurant was available with a choice of meals on a buffet basis. All in all, an excellent hotel for hosting a stay exploring the area."

"Great little hotel on the edge of old town. Breakfast is available for purchase but the Pastelaria across the street is amazing…don’t miss out on the pastel de nata and espresso! Everything is completely walkable and we had the best time there! Faro is small town friendly and we’ve never felt safer walking streets and back alleys at night. Take the tuk tuk tour to get an overview of the area and pay attention to the guide…he was a living history book and we had a great idea of what we wanted to see and in what order afterwards. Faro was amazing, you won’t regret your visit or this hotel. "
