Staff is very courteous. Rooms are in need of maintence. Shower handle fell off and shower head sprays water all over. Had one bath towel to share with my wife. Towels are thin and rough. Breakfast is not as good as previous visit several years ago. Water came in from the windows one night. Rooms are clean and air con works.

The city of Manus is very third world with some very clean and beautiful areas surrounded by third world poverty. As a base to explore the surrounding rainforest the hotel is fine. Food is good, staff is helpful and friendly though with limited English. Parts of the hotel were still under construction and facilities were plain and barely working. The hotel felt safe but the surrounding area definitely did not.

The hotel is very nice but not in a safe walkable area. Transportation is readily available. Great pool but too few chairs. Food was below average. Lobby offered tours of the area. Took three tours and all were very good.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. The room was clean and had great space. However, such a nice hotel with such a goof staff should have nice fitted sheets that don’t bunch during the night, offer free bottled water for each guest in the room and provide free coffee or tea in the room. The restaurant served outstanding breakfast and the dinner was of good quality. The property outside of the hotel area is dirty and run down looking and staff say it tent safe for tourists to walk even during the day so your basically confined to the hotel unless you have a car, or use a taxi or Uber .

Very basic hotel with very limited facilities. There was no age in the room, the I asked about it they sent up a safe. Left it on a shelf. Not secured. Someone could just take the whole safe! Food very limited. Did not feel safe to walk around the area.

Stay Here While Waiting for Your Cruise Ship

Hotel Intercity is a good place to stay while waiting for your cruise or river boat. The included breakfast is good. There are no USB ports in the rooms. Electricity supply may not be adequate to charge your devices. The tourist agency with a desk in the hotel can book your transfers and tours. The agent will accept credit cards for payment. Excellent service. Whatsapp - Yara Krul +55 92 8182 0162. Very reasonable. Arrive a few days early to take tours. We booked the Amazon Safari.

We rented a superior room located on the top floor. The gym and a small restaurant area were directly about out room. All day and night there was noise from people moving chairs, cheering for football matches, dropping things, etc. There are only 2 elevators and 1 or both of them are frequently not working. So, we were up and down the stairs to avoid very long waits for the elevator, which was fine for us, but not so great for older folks. Not once did anyone from reception greet us when we came in or our of the hotel, which is strange for Brazil where people are so friendly. The breakfast and staff in the restaurant were very good and we really appreciated that. That was such a contrast to the rest of the hotel. Stay elsewhere!
