"Set on a working farm in beautiful countryside with far reaching views. The property was lovely & clean & contained everything needed for a relaxing stay. A very comfortable bed, a lovely shower with plenty of hot water & the property was lovely & warm. There was plenty if onsite parking. Whilst we didn’t need to contact the hosts we knew they were close should we have need them. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. "Excellent stay. Lovely view of the lake. Hotel has been modernised and is very welcoming. Stayed in a room with private hot tub - a real treat after a long walk! "

Lindeth Howe Hotel

"We have visited Lindeth Howe twice before and were delighted each time. Unfortunately on this occasion there were many issues that spoiled our stay. We chose to discretely discuss our experience with reception on departure and emailed the account to the hotel with a promise of a response. We had no response a week later, so here are the key issues. Very poor quality bed, with gap and step in height between the two sides. Evening meals were poor in quality and over priced. I was quite insulted by the waiter when told that I didn’t qualify for a bread roll with my meal, (of near £100 for two). The wine was not of good quality and in fact was 3x the cost of the same product I could purchase on eBay. Diners were set too close together and the background music was too loud. The breakfast table and condiment holder was dirty. The breakfasts were not hot and the overnight oats had run out. Poor room servicing when requested. Dirty towels supplied and sanitary bin not emptied. So in all quite a disappointing stay. We will not be recommending Lindeth Howe to friends any more."

"Last minute booking. Hotel is nice overlooking the lake with excellent spa. Dinner was excellent. We stayed in room 3 on the ground floor. There was a musty smell walking down the corridor. The room was clean and spacious and overlooked the lake but a bit tired looking. Most of the staff were very friendly but the girl that checked us in was so unhelpful. We had never stayed here before she just gave us the key and some gingerbread and said straight down the corridor room 3 turn left. Gave us no information on the facilities of the hotel. We did not know you could pay a surcharge and use the outdoor spa area. We didn’t know there were 3 restaurants. She just could have sold the hotel and its facilities much more to us and explained options. If I was to stay here again I would look for a room in the newer block of the hotel and book the extra spa service. I did have a treatment in the spa and it was excellent. Overall a nice hotel but the reception staff are your first point of contact they need to be welcoming friendly and informative."
