โThe accommodations were spartan but clean we had the "Family Room", the owner very nice and helpful. The bathroom and shower were fine. The double bed was 2 single beds pushed together.It is 15 minute walk to the station and to Byodo-in (main attraction in Uji) There are no food options close by but kitchen access was available.
The only real problem is that for anyone who has mobility issues, access to the room was 2 flights of very steep narrow stairs.โ
โBeautiful house in excellent condition in a nice quiet area. Everything you need is provided in the house. The phone in the house did not seem to work to call the reception though. The nearest Tofukuji Station is only a few minutesโ walk away with two convenience stores on the way. Love to return in the future; cannot recommend more!! โ

โWhile we stayed only 2 night we wished we had stayed a few days longer. Location is very convenient with Kyoto Station within 5mins walk and AEON mall just next door - travelling around with family is great. Friendly host at the door and very clear guidelines in getting setup within the accomodationsโ
