“This hotel is without doubt “budget”. It’s dated and tatty and in the middle of nowhere, but the bed was comfy and was fine for a base for a couple of nights as I was working in Cambridge. The added bonus of having a basic continental breakfast was appreciated. Parking on site too. If it’s prices rise much more, it wouldn’t be worth it but for a cheap hotel it’s a decent enough base.”

“Great restaurant and good location in a quiet neighborhood near Cambridge. The staff was very accommodating and even kept the kitchen open late to provide us dinner upon our late arrival. Rooms are small but well appointed & good value for the price. The bed size was advertised as king but it was a double which is small for us. The windows do not open in the room (perhaps for safety as the rooms are all ground floor) so the room was a bit stuffy and warm for our comfort. A fan was provided,...

“You're above a pub, but right in the city centre, for real cheap. It's highly convenient, clean bathrooms and bedding, but be warned, it's above a pub. Its a bit noisy until late, but that's expected. Can't complain really. We left some headphones and keys behind but they were very kind to ship them back for us! Would recommend if you're in for a couple of nights and just need a bed. Gud price”

“Absolutely loved this place it was so quirky full of history and antiques breakfast was good and hosts were lovely And friendly we will definitely return ..no matter where you look. There was something of interest with an antique shop in the yard too ..not for someone looking for a modern hotel though walking distance to a nice village pub with good food ..highly recommend this place ”

“The host checked before my arrival what time I'd be booking in. Unfortunately I was early so they were out but Alison was very accomodating when I said I'd be back around 10pm. Place was lovely and room was very comfortable with an array of items on the room to make my stay more comfortable. Overall would highly recommend but would also advise to close your windows before bed as the crows and peacocks woke me up at 5am!”

“The Hosts Jude & Karl make you very welcome . I was travelling alone and booked a single room which was compact but just right for me on this trip . Tea & Coffee facilities are provided as well as shower gel , soap and shampoo . You can also park at the property . Breakfast is cooked to order and delicious. The property also has a beautiful little garden at the back which I enjoyed sitting in . Within walking distance to the Town through a lovely park where you will find a number of pubs,bars...

“Good base for the week. Did have a couple of times people trying to get in as they thought it was part of the raptor foundation so had to have the door locked all the time. Walls are very thin so could hear the people next door snoring all night. There is a sign up in the bath room saying after 5days you get fresh linen and towels but this didnt happen, i stayed for 7nights. “As far as the stay I honestly couldn’t fault it my bed was super comfy I stayed in the queen suite with shared bathroom it was spotless and warm too Helen had the radiators on and an electric blanket in the bed which was much welcomed as I stayed mid- January. If you do stay in this room just switch the blanket on and wait an hour you might not be able to feel it to the touch but once you get into bed you’ll feel it. There was plenty of tea & coffee plus nice little touches like water chocolate...
