"Had to wait 10 mins to check in as no staff were available. No towels in room assured they would be provided but still had to ask for them again at 22:30 when we got back to our room. Went down for breakfast at 9:00am, no staff. Waited until 9:10 only to be told that by the cleaner there were no staff again. Already paid for breakfast. NOT HAPPY!"

"I booked late in the day but staff were very welcoming on check in. Clean, warm and comfy room. Great pub attached and Excellent breakfast. Location is ideal right at the top of a busy high street but noise wasn't an issue during the stay."

"The rooms are all accessible from a courtyard and on the coldest day of the year, they had left the heating off in the room so it was freezing and we ended up sleeping fully clothed. It may be a great wedding venue but the “hotel” does not have a restaurant or bar for guests to use. We arrived after a day of travel and wanted a meal and drink - not something this hotel can provide. Also if you want breakfast, you need to request it the night before. Would not stay again. "

"Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again."

"Last time we complained, and this time Harun gave us a room that was absolutely ridiculous. The room was very dirty, and even the blanket was not clean, which is completely unacceptable. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Harun’s attitude was rude and argumentative, with no apology or effort to help. Giving such a room to customers after they complain feels disrespectful. I would like to mention that Fahim and Syed have always provided good service and treated us politely and...
