"Very comfortable bed. Nice staff. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, or choice of muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, toast. Good location in Oakhurst with stores, gas, restaurants nearby. I did not mind the curvy drive to Yosemite’s south entrance. I bought some souvenirs from the lobby and loved the lodge feel. Stayed two nights for a quick visit to the park. I recommend for the comfort and convenience."

"The room was decently sized and beds were comfortable. The hotel was overall charming and simple. Some things are very outdated like the TV screen and noisy AC unit. Dinner at the Bar and Grill was tasty and generously priced; HOWEVER, the breakfast was an insult: A $24 per person buffet with no drinks included for free (no, not even cofee). Some dishes, silverware and parts of the restaurant were dirty. Servers and staff looked and acted like amateurs. Food was ok but definitely not close to being worth $24. I get that Yosemite has little food options around and they can get away with this, but it is unacceptable to present something like this to your guests. Overall I still recommend the hotel but plan bringing something else to eat like frozen burritos or sandwiches."

""The property itself is nice, cozy, clean, and well-equipped. However, as two women traveling together, our main concern was tent security, as it could not be locked from the inside. This kept us from getting a good night's sleep. Additionally, our check-in experience was frustrating. Expedia failed to send instructions, no one answered the phone when we called the lodge to confirm, and there were no road signs guiding us to the property. We were worried it was a scam, but it turned out to be real and we had a good stay overall. Addressing these communication and security issues would greatly improve the experience.""

"Stayed in this same room nine or ten years ago. Still beautifully decorated as was then. King bed comfortable, but pillows were a little thin. I sleep on my side, so I had to double the pillow over. If you have an extended stay and want to unpack, no chest and drawers. An armoire with one large drawer. Bathroom had standard tub with shower curtain. Water was hot enough for me but not for my wife who likes lobster boiling temperature. Problem with HVAC, fan would blow all night on us, despite HVAC set to off. If you plan to eat some meals in, there are only three sets of dinnerware. So you are either washing the dishes every day, or running a mostly empty dishwasher, which was broken when we were there. Overall, a good stay, but some room for improvement."
