Its right next to the train station, and its very convenient. However, the room is very small, especially the bathroom. Also, the AC is weak and not cool enough during summer. Location is very good, as its close to several car rental companies.

Ideal hotel when travelling by train

An ideal hotel when travelling by train. Just a very short walk across the road from main station. Hotel quite basic but the room was comfortable and clean. There is a bar with outside seating. Bearing in mind how close it is to train station the area was very quiet at night.

Really convenient location for Gare Marseille St Charles. The hotel is super quiet and also a great option for someone like me, travelling alone, I could eat in and not have to brave the streets around which are quite busy.

Close to Gare

The restaurant in the hotel is again a restaurant rather than a burger joint, which is a Good Thing as the Asian restaurant in the gare has closed down. We avoid going out and about in the streets around the gare in the evening so a decent restaurant in the hotel is welcome.

Conveniently closed to the train station. Nice staff. Nice restaurant. Convenient late hours bar with food. The only problem was that the third bed was wet and we keep getting water from who knows where. But it wasn't a big deal. We ended up staying two nights.

The most convenient location to access the train station, the staff was at some point overwhelmed, and the wait to have service seemed a bit long. The bar downstairs is convenient. I have to note that the shower/shampoo soap in my room was water down,

The room was small but the hotel was conveniently located right next to the main train station whoch was a priority for me. I only spent one night. It would have been great if I could have left my luggage at the front desk but instead they offered lockers that you had to pay for.

We had a great stay at ibis Marseille Centre Gare Saint Charles! The hotel and its facilities were clean and well-kept. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and answered our questions about our scheduled train ride. While smoking is very common in Europe, it is good to keep in mind (especially if you or your young children are sensitive to the smell) that some cigarette smoke may come through your window from the café below - we didn’t mind too much ourselves. The best feature of the hotel is that it is steps away from Gare Saint-Charles station (major train station) which is extremely convenient if you have an early-morning train ride like we did!

A very pleasant stay in a conveniently located hotel. Staff are friendly and facilities are normal for an Ibis red hotel. Beware that there is no kettle or fridge in the room . I did not have breakfast there because I did not want a big breakfast so the 11 euro buffet was not required
