Happiest bar staff ever, super food.
Lovely little hotel, receptionist was efficient but very serious but check in was quick. Have to say the bar/dining staff have to be the happiest and most friendly I ever met!!! The food in the bar at dinner was super. Best Seafood Chowder I ever tasted. Pasta and salads and nachos all piping hot too and so tasty. Very reasonable prices for hotel stay and bar food. Covid regulations followed everywhere. Bedroom spotlessly clean. A few extra pillows and little milk cartons for cups of tea and I would have liked a black out blind on window to keep room dark. All in all It’s a lovely friendly and handy hotel for Taylor Park. We will definitely be back.

our employee stayed for 1 night work trip and he said that service was good but premises were terrible. Do not trust the pictures !

Not great.
Breakfast is beautiful and plenty of it. Noisey family arrived the 2nd night several guest giving out we had to be moved instead of the family been moved. My wife asked for 2 glasses of ice at breakfast and the barman told her they had no ice. (Didnt want to go get it.) Otherwise some staff are nice and helpful. Dont know if id go back again though.

staff lovely .. the rest not so much
The hotel was lovely and staff were lovely , the bar girl that served in the resident bar was just absolutely lovely so friendly. There does be a lot of screaming partying going on in the rooms, no security to make them actually give it over and go sleep. There is one security guard but anyone is allowed into the rooms past the reception as we all seen and there was a lot of people walking around the corridors who were not guests as we could hear them all screaming and chatting. Its not a typical hotel more like a travel lodge where anything goes.

Not that great. Not very clean. Functional.
First room was poorly cleaned - there was what looked like a vest or something clogging the toilet. Ashbourne house needs to sort out its attention to detail. The same room’s shower was also filthy. Luckily we were given a different room which was a bit better. The WiFi didn’t work in the rooms. The link to the pub makes the whole place feel a bit trashy. It wasn’t very nice but I guess you get what you pay for since all other hotels were so expensive. Free parking was helpful and you were in close proximity to restaurants.

Perfect Location
The location is perfect. The hotel is old and showing its age but clean. we were walking distance to the shops and restaurants. As well, the bus stopped just outside the door. A great pub is on location with good food and is quite popular with the locals (always a good sign). I would recommend this hotel if you are not looking for 5 star luxury.

We had a one night stay. The hotel was clean enough. There was an issue with the water supply and we were given bottled water at reception so positive marks there.

Older country hotel - shame about the breakfast.
An older, country hotel with nice bar area, good bar menu (tried) and restaurant (not tried). Excellent parking facilities. Wi-fi poor but understand that they may be in the process of upgrading this in certain areas of the hotel. Bedroom quite noisy but this might be just the luck of the draw in quite a large building. Breakfast, continental requested very poor and overpriced for what it was (cereal, tea, toast, juice) - cooked breakfast looked OK but not required. Also, only served from 07:00 which does not work well for early risers. Overall staff very friendly and atmosphere in the bar and reception areas very relaxing.

Booked 4 rooms for my sons 21st..spent 900 euro between rooms bar and loft restaurant..rooms appalling standard..hotel needs refurb..food mediocre..day staff and restaurant staff very pleasant ..night staff in dire need of customer service training..feel this whole place needs a shake up..locked my son out at 2am..no staff on the desk and had to go downstairs and deal with a situation in the middle of the night..no follow up call from management..feel very let down and will never recommend this hotel to anyone

Location very good, rooms were very basic but clean, hotel needs a facelift.... Do not have breakfast here... Some staff very nice, others in need of customer service skills training. Very noisy at night, would not stay again or recommend to anyone.

Easy 20 mins from Dublin Airport
Room was needing a little love - just an older place. Needing a facelift. Great shower, though small. Staff lovely and very helpful. Didn’t eat here, as had had enough ‘pub’ food but stay was fine and way cheaper than staying at the airport. We were happy with our decision to stay at this guesthouse/ hotel.

This used to be a very popular hotel - that was 25 to 30 years ago. It looks like it hasnt been updated since then. The room was ok cleanliness wise but condition was really poor. The toilet had a big crack in it that had been repaired - very badly. the shower was strong but the tiles were very mouldy. Pillow were awful - like flat bricks. We had 3 tea bags and 3 sachets of coffee which is nowhere hear enough even for just one overnight. We had no remote for the TV. The breakfast was good however and staff were friendly.

Great wee hotel
Used it as a stop over for the airport. It was lovely and quiet. Had a great meal in the restaurant. Staff were great. Breakfast was good with a good selection.
