Fiji Gateway Hotel

"The hotel is in a great location, opposite the airport. You can easily walk across, but if you prefer there is a regular shuttle bus which takes 3-5 mins to get you across, The driver was very friendly and helpful, just what you need after a long flight. The hotel has 2 pools, one with a slide close to the bar and a quieter, smaller one in the centre of the complex. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, perfect space to relax and sort out suitcases and hand luggage for the onward journey. A good variety of food & drink is offered for a reasonable price. There is free wifi with every room, and if you are staying after checkout (we stayed until 9.30pm) the reception will provide a free wifi access code. This a great hotel which gave us a great start & end to our holiday in Fiji."

Smugglers Cove Beach Resort and Hotel

"The room was clean, bedding was nice, and it is clear that they are remodeling some rooms. This is a great hotel to stay for a couple of days. It is very basic with few amenities. There is a nice pool (but no beach/pool towels - they will rent you one if they have any) and the restaurant was very good. I never had bad food and enjoyed it. Service was good sometimes, but terrible other times. One guy during the day (Pranell - or something like that) was amazing. Evenings were very slow service. Outside of the pool, there really are no amenities other than a washer and dryer area. The area was nice and there is a grocery store just down the street. Would I stay again? Yes, if just traveling through. For a long-term trip, I would chose somewhere with more amenities. Front desk staff didn't really provide any information on check-in, so there may have been things we missed."

"Very good experience, though I feel you really need someone to take you through a 'Radisson 101' when you first get there so you understand where everything is and how it works. Could get pricy when staying in Resort, particularly compared to popping down to Denarau Marina."
Warwick Le Lagon - Vanuatu

"The Warwick is a resort with many facilities to enjoy, you almost don't need to leave! The buffet breakfast was fantastic with lots of options. They also have a chef to make fresh omelettes and eggs your way. The rooms are starting to look dated but still functional. We chose a lagoon view room which gave us a beautiful view over the lagoon, out to the ocean and across to Erakor Island. The pools are great, but could use a few more banana lounges near them and on the sand overlooking the lagoon. They have water sports you can try like kayaks and catamarans. There is also an option to go out on a small boat and snorkel for $1500VT per person. We only found out about it from other resort guests. They do have some snorkeling gear but it isn't well maintained or that clean so would bring my own if I went back. We had a treatment at the spa. I don't indulge in spa treatments often and while it was nice, the room was old, walls a bit dirty and the towels were old and smelt funny. Overall it is a great resort for couples, families and friends."
