An unpleasant communication style....Not impressed
When we arrived, my husband commented to the proprietor that there was noise coming from the house and could we be moved to one of the 2 units unoccupied next door. He gruffly said...." it is a house you know..." He added that both the rooms next door hadn't been cleaned but we could see through the glass door that they were! Not impressed with the PR!

the room was tiny; the power points for toaster and jug were not conveniently located; the mattress creaked and there was a hair on the sheets. No signal on tv

A pleasant stay!
Our room was clean, comfortable and warm. The continental breakfast provided was generous and more than adequate for our needs. We were there for just a weekend and it was perfect for our needs.

Very quiet and peaceful surroundings As previously mentioned if your going to supply yoghurt it needs to be well in date not expire on your arrival date.

staff wonderful, only prob was the bedside lights where very difficult t oturn off(turn off from powerpoint only no switch on lamps).no senser light on veranda making steps a bit difficult at night. nice room ,lovely bed, very quiet, lovely staff.

All bedside lights have a switch .There are switches either on the lamps or a switch is on the electrical cord on the lamps with no built in switches . All outside lights are on sensors , including the light on the veranda steps .

Nice & quiet
The rooms were comfortable but a bit cramped. I feel is they got rid of the WIR and made that the kitchenette would be better for space.

We are a council approved bed and breakfast house . No kitchens are required or advertised in BnB letting rooms .

Comfortable BnB for a night or two.
The room was exactly as expected, clean and tidy. The services were as described. Would happily stay here again if the need arose.

The location was great close enough to town and yet quiet. Room was clean and tidy. Our host was very friendly. Breakfast was included but we had to make it ourselves which we didn't mind. The only bad thing was that we only had one night in the area as there was plenty more to see.

Quiet stay in pretty country close to Melbourne
The placing of the accommodation in small-town Yarra Glen and the view into the Upper Yarra valley are the best features of this accommodation. The age of the facilities and absence of contact with staff are negative features.

Nice hotel in the center of the Yarra Valley
Near to the every place: vineyards, Healesville Sanctuary, Yarra Valley Chocolaterie. We stay there to make the trip Air Ballooning at Yarra Valley.

Close to town
Was great as we attended a 50th so we weren't going to be staying long, the owners were lovely & our room was warm& cosy on arrival, all amenities were supplied & continental breakfast was sufficient. The kettle took a while to start up initially as hubby thought it didn't work but was all good. Would return again.

A very comfortable BnB
We arrived at the hotel early afternoon and were pleasantly greeted by the owner. He showed us to our unit and explained the workings of our BnB and then gave us a map of the area telling us of best things to see and best places to eat .They could not have done more for us.We had a very enjoyable stay.

Great air con
Nice hotel with ease of access and great air con. One major disappointment was that breakfast was only little packs of cereal and toast. I would have loved some hot options for the price we paid for a bnb.

Perfect weekend getaway
Very pleased with the staff/owners nice welcoming people with advice and tips of places to visit and see. Great information provided. Room was excellent and very cosy and spotless clean! WILL come back again!!

We will not be returning.
My phone query regarding breakfast(website stated ROOM ONLY and I could not add breakfast)was answered very off-hand and on arrival we found we had not been changed to B&B. This was amended. Arriving in the dark at 6pm with address being Yarraview Road, we were unable to find the establishment.Street numbers were few and unreadable. Eventually I went to a house and was informed the entrance was in King Street. There were no lights but a sign on the side of the road there indicating B&B, the drive being further down again.(Next day we found a Yarraview Road fence sign but this was unlit, well back from the road and impossible to see in the dark of night.) The owner called from the top floor and directed us up the not very well-lit path where he showed us our room. We commented how hard the place was to find, his response was that the directions were on the website – not very helpful when you are in the car without access to the net. Not very customer friendly. Accommodation was clean but there were problems. My friend could not get the electric jug to fit under the sink tap so filled it up from a garden hose. Having my coffee I wondered if the water was recycled so did not continue drinking, ugh to the thought. A bedside light had a loose connection and went on/off. Breakfast table had a solid base but top was extremely unstable. Yoghurt provided was out of date! What more needs to be said. Not very satisfactory for the price.

Our private house B&B is on the corner of King St and Yarraview rd. With the carpark entrance in King St. As stated on our web site , brochures and the Expedia guest booking confirmation form. As this area is zoned by the council as a residential area, outside commercial lighting is not allowed . We keep three 100w outside lights on at all times and the building is totally lit up by the house room lights . We live on the first floor, so when Guests arrive in the carpark, I call down from the balcony that I'm coming down . There is no recycled water in our property it is all supplied from the mains service . Kettles used by all Guests in the last sixteen years have been filled from the Guest room taps . The table in question has been tightened to its iron base . I apologise if the yoghut was out of date but as this Guest booked a room only reservation with no breakfast ,one had not been prepared .

Just OK for a romantic overnight
Wifi is only available at Reception. Reception is in a converted garage adjacent to the accommodation area. The signal cannot obviously reach around the corner of the buildings. The owner seemed unconcerned about wifi issues for guests, in a B and B that advertises, and charges, for an elegant getaway. Lighting in the accommodation is inadequate for reading purposes. On a positive note, the owner took time to describe attractions in the local area.

Wifi, that goes around corners was fitted into the BnB six years ago by the local leading IT company . Approximately six thousand guests have stayed since then . This is the first complaint I've heard about wifi only being reached in reception . In this area the internet connection is intermitent but is usually available . This morning a departing business woman told me she had done a couple of hours work in her room on her laptop . Our website claims only that wifi is freely available for Guests, which it is . We cannot control atmospherics or the internet local connection and therefore the range of the signal .

Friendly, good location, comfortable.
I very rarely give anyone 5 stars so my 4 star rating means it's pretty good. It's tidy as opposed to high class, but the facilities are what I'd expect for a place in this price range. We'd definitely stay again.
