"This was a beautiful hotel and the location is excellent. The property is in the main central location close to Liroux port and above the central square. Everything in the unit was new and it was so clean and elegant. The shower was perfect and the layout of the unit was great. "From the moment we stepped into this property we were met with a friendly host who continued to be very helpful throughout our stay. The apartments are across the road from the pebble beach and a 15 minute walk to Sami. The pool was clean with plenty of lounges and umbrellas. The apartment was large with a balcony, kitchen and washing machine. We did not hire a car but used taxi’s which were very efficient. The fare from the airport was 60 euro and took about 45 minutes. Highly recommended for people who want a relaxed and peaceful experience and environment."

"We had a lovely stay at Ballas! Our studio’s balcony faced the sea & had beautiful climbing bougainvillea which offered extra privacy. The kitchen and bathroom fittings are dated but in my opinion add to the cosy charm, and everything is very clean! The garden area is where you can read in the evening while listening to the sea lapping on the rocks. There is access to the sea from the back of the property which is all rock but large bean bag cushions are provided for comfort. Stavros and the housekeeper (whose name I didn’t get!) are both lovely! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"We had an absolutely lovely time at this hotel, the hotel met all our expectations and far more, the staff are fantastic, so polite, happy and cheery, we could not fault our stay here. It was in such a lovely spot. We will definitely be coming back. We nearly opted to go next door to the 5 star hotel but after reading both sets of reviews for both of these hotels we are so glad we chose this one."

"The accommodation is well-situated, within walking distance of both the beach and Melissani Lake. There are some sports courts just behind the property that seem free to use, and the bakery next door is fabulous. The local beach was one of our favorites; while it might not have the dramatic beauty of Myrtos or Fteri, it is definitely the coolest beach in Kefalonia. The cold water from Melissani Lake flows into the sea here, creating a refreshing cold top layer. We really appreciated this in the July heat, and there is often a fresh breeze, too. The flat is a good size, clean, and well-furnished. The air conditioning works well, though you can't set the temperature below 23°C (which, to be fair, is cool enough). The only annoying bit is that after a while, the temperature resets itself up to 25°C or 26°C on its own. The owners are great, very helpful and even let us borrow a beach mat and a parasol, which was an absolute lifesaver!There's a couple of restaurant within walking distance which we haven't tried. Sami is only 5mn drive or 30mn walk by the beach and offer plenty choices. I'd definitely recommend this place."

"Panos and his wife wet were excellent hosts. They were very friendly and most helpful. The room was cleaned every day, had a small but adequate (for us) tv and a lovely, quiet air conditioning unit. A 5 minute walk or 10 minute stroll to the harbour and the tavernas. Located up a little bit of an incline but I managed it well enough even while carrying a weeks supply of water for 2 and I’m 68."

"Fabulous Villa Katerina! Totally private and in a stunning, quiet spot with lovely views. We loved the spacious living area and well-equipped kitchen, but the outside was so special - we ate every meal on the terrace and used the bbq every night. The heated pool was gorgeous and so much bigger than we expected! Our host Rosanna was very helpful and easy to contact, and she had provided some food essentials when we arrived, which was a nice touch. The daily housekeeping was much appreciated too. Loved it, we’ll be back!"
