"What great value and a great place.the room was spotless and was in the perfect location for my easy journey to the ferry port after a long day travelling. All the staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The food in the restaurant was top class and the breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Couldn't fault it.The guy running the bar was friendly, funny and working his socks off.Would happily recommend."

"Check in was easy. We were early and they held our luggage until we could check in Room was clean and manageable. Great walk in closet. Bathroom was updated but unfortunately the shower was too hot to use. We didn’t report it first day figuring we were doing something incorrectly. But when it wasn’t any better, we reported it but had a tour to catch. We returned to a brand new functional shower. Well done Staff were friendly but there’s not much beyond a bartender. No food service and hours of attendance for help aren’t listed. We wanted a wine bucket but the bar didn’t have any. They gave us plenty of ice though in a pitcher. We normally don’t use cleaning staff for short stays…so no comment on that We would stay there again Location to town is ideal and the walk uphill is great exercise"

"We stopped off at the Talbot for the night before catching the early ferry home the following morning. We were greeted with a warm, friendly and helpful check in and given keys to our clean, modern rooms. The hotel has a nice sized pool with jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room that enabled us to enjoy some down time. We then enjoyed a drink in the nicely designed bar area, before a meal in the lovely restaurant."

"The room was clean, but several niggling items did not work well—clearly a maintenance issue. The front desk staff was awesome and when we reported the problem (sink did not drain because of a stuck stopper), she escorted us to our room to handle the problem immediately. Breakfast was great, but the same everyday we stayed. The courtyard of the hotel is beautiful to sit out and enjoy drinks or snacks. We did not use the spa or gym. Parking is free for guests and convenient AND necessary for this very well placed hotel in the middle of Wexford. We would go back!"
