“It was a nice experience and definitely enjoyed it, if it was great I would have said so. Our toilet seat was broken the tents were a bit tired, and all in all I think an 8/10. The front of house staff were fantastic, the driver on the expensive 4x4 transfer from Mezougah to the tent was not so friendly but nor was he rude or unpleasant so those are the reasons for our rating”

“The staff are beyond friendly. We enjoyed our fireside riddles and laughed a lot with some of the staff. Our camel ride out to the camp with guide Mohammed was stellar. There was a stop for the sunset and some local berbere men shared their sand board with us so we could play on the dunes. The only thing I'd change about the entire experience is the dinner. “Avoid at all costs – complete scam! This place is nothing but a tourist trap. After you pay, you suddenly find out that they charge €25 per person just to drive you 10 minutes to the camp. Once you arrive, they tell you that air conditioning is NOT included and demand another €30 per person if you want it. “Camels, and 4X4’s, luxury and serenity. The camp had it all. It was the perfect experience and one I truly hope to experience again. We spent 2 nights at the camp and I am so glad that we did, one just would not be enough. Although the food, surroundings, stargazing, camel rides, and four wheeling through the dunes are amazing, the best part of Horaz is the wonderful, warm staff.
