After seeing some low ratings, we were nervous to book, but we had such a INCREDIBLE stay! This was an amazing hotel and we would recommend Alimuri to anyone. It’s a little bit outside of Sorrento and there are not really taxis here. Everything has to be prearranged. Luckily they have a shuttle into the city of Sorrento right by the shops. The staff was so helpful and arranged a couple of transfers for us to go out of the small town for our excursions. Beach was great. Pool was great! Staff was attentive and has breakfast, lunch, and dinner on site! With a couple of Neighboring restaurants. So if you want a beach stay with just a couple of hours or meals in the city of Sorrento this is your stay. If you want to walk around and site see a bunch and be local to trains, the port, etc, you probably want to stay closer to Sorrento.

We loved our stay at Alimuri Bay Resort and are already desperate to come back! The location is beautiful - just a short bus ride from Sorrento town and the view from the beach is insanely beautiful. We loved waking up to the view from the balcony every morning. Our only improvements would be that the bathroom is a little outdated and there is no kettle or tea-making facilities in the room. But it was clean and the rooms were nicely decorated. Breakfast was good and the staff could not do more to help you. It was fantastic!

My husband and I both found the staff to be generally unfriendly during our 5 night stay here. They were not very kind or helpful when we needed to ask a question or favour. An important thing to note is that you cannot enjoy your own beverages nor food when spending the entire day by the pool/beach. They charge a fortune for just a soda (7€) and small beer (12€). We only ordered drinks once, as prices were steep. We felt we had to go to our room often to enjoy food/drinks and comeback to swim and relax in between. Luckily, we chose a room with a balcony (note, that most balconies at this hotel are very quaint). The hotel itself is quite outdated and the rooms very much so. Our shower did not work properly and had mould. The jets in our jacuzzi tub in our room also did not work. The mini fridge was not all that cold. The bed was the stiffest most uncomfortable bed we ever slept in. On a positive note, breakfast was amazing every morning! The views and sunsets are impeccable! The pool was relaxing. Music was often boring however. Beach is nice, but prepare for lots of rocks when entering. Shuttle to/from Sorrento was nice to have (could use a few more hours though in the afternoon). Prepare for decent amount of walking to get to restaurants and shops in the Meta area. Catching a city bus was not very easy with luggage (lots of stairs to go down). Staff was very misleading in this. Not sure we would ever god back, due to it being so outdated and poor management/unfriendly.

Open balcony on the morning and enjoy sounds of waves 🌊 So far best hotel of our trip! Sunsets… water is so wild and clear! Our room have jacuzzi with ocean view that we really enjoyed. ( and who complained about bad rooms you need to choose room when you booked!) another room has amazing balcony with ocean view and seahorse decor. Breakfast was outstanding with salmon and plenty mozzarella and tomatoes. So many sweets options for our little one. Pool is also good bonus with plenty of balloons and toys. Location is fantastic and very close to Sorrento and good restaurants. Can’t wait to come back next year!

This was a romantic location reminiscent of the titanic. It is designed to feel like a ship. Friendly staff. Gorgeous location. Quiet. Luxurious. Pool and beach access. Hot tub was wonderful and near the balcony. We could hear the waves as we slept. Only thing I would mention is there isn’t a ton to do within walking distance. So it’s a good place if you have transportation or want quiet.

When booking this hotel, please note it is an individual, traditional Italian hotel with lots of beautiful marble, mosaic and a lovely art deco feel. Our room with an incredible sea view again had traditional tiles, wood carvings and marble based on a nautical theme. The dining room, bars and outside areas are more modern and spotlessly clean, shout outs to the lifeguards who were great and Valentino behind bar who was really polite. In fairness, all the staff here are a credit. The location of the hotel is perfect with beautiful views over the Bay of Naples and lots of little eateries that are so good, particularly in the evening, spectacular sunsets. Thoroughly recommend, well done guys.

The hotel itself was in a great location slightly away from downtown sorrento but they offered free shuttles throughout the day. Parking included and breakfast was also perfect. I did find a local mini mart approx 12 min uphill walk away. Facility is nice but the rooms need attention. Our shower wouldn’t drain and leaked onto slick tile floor. We told front desk first day about it and they wrote a note but never addressed the issue so every time we showered it either had to be quick our the floor would get soaked. Wish they would have done something about it but otherwise good place to stay.

I’ll start by saying I accept that not all hotels are luxurious, and I have stayed at all types. This hotel is just shocking false advertising. The 1st floor with dining room and pool area has been remodeled, but the rest of the hotel was clearly nice and opulent in it’s time, but is now falling apart and haphazardly repaired here and there. Our room smelled musty, we felt every spring in the bed, pillows were flat. The area around the hotel was sketchy but we had no issues. Beach was packed and dirty. Parking was in a gated parking lot filled with garbage. The positive: Bar staff was great.

No 1, not sure why it’s listed as a 4 star hotel, also not sure where to begin, the piles of garbage in the parking lot, the dirty towels in my room, the missing sheets on the bed, the rust on the elevators, or the mold on the bathroom ceiling… I can go on and on on all the imperfections I’ve found here. The only thing this hotel has to offer is the staff, and an amazing view. Other than that, if you’re expecting 4 stars do not go here!

Molded room at premium price

Do not book unless you want to pay premium price for a molded room. The hotel has a beautiful location and friendly staff, however when entering the room late at night we noticed a bad smell, that we next morning was due to bad mold over the bed and in the bathroom. We asked for another room, which we had but not until the day after. We asked for compensation due the health hazard we had exposed to, the inconvenience of having to change room (with the clothes damp from the first packed in the suitcase for whole day), and a second room that in several ways was less attractive than the first room we had. We were given a free dinnerbuffet, which we appreciated, however we didn’t feel that in any way adequately compensated for the situation. I tried several times to get in contact with the manager, without any luck and my emails to the manager remain unanswered. I’m shocked that a hotel manager of any hotel, let alone 4-star hotel, is non-responsive to a complaint like ours - especially as I informed the manager and staff, that my travel companion has severe astma.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful. They guided us to the car park and explained and directed us to the amenities. We loved the view from the balcony. The shower was difficult to get in and out of. Plus i needed a towel on the shower floor so i wouldn't slip. The mattress was two separate mattresses and didn’t match in firmness. The room and the clothes storage was plentiful if we stayed a little longer. We ordered the Caprese Salad and Carpacci with the white pepper appetizers for dinner. The Caprese Salad had too many tomatoes and lacked olive oil and seasoning. The carpaccio was very chewy and not very flavorful. The white peoper was delicious. The staff brought us some small plates for free. They were very good. We ordered dessert and caffe Americano. I wasn't pleased with the Tiramisu, but the cheese cake was good. We ordered a bottle of wine and that was very good. We went to breakfast and enjoyed what we chose off the board. We saw the brewed coffee and that was lukewarm warm at best. We did order Cappuccino and Caffee Americano and both drinks were good! Check out was very good. The front desk staff explained the bill and we paid.
