Initially when we were searching for accommodations, Hemeras Boutique Apart-Hotel stood out because of the beautiful pictures. But be warned, they own a number of rooms around Milan so you need to know which one you are renting.
Upon arriving to Milan Linate airport, we had to take a cab which cost about 20 euros to the Hemeras office. We had to go to the head office to get the keys and then walk about a block with our bags to the place we were staying at. If you have heavy bags, be warned that some of the accommodations have no elevator and narrow staircases so be ready to carry them.
After checking in, the accommodations were ok, it was clean and there were bottles of water and a few snacks provided. The area we were in seemed sketchy but I guess many of Milan’s side streets look that way. There was one restaurant open about a block away and we were lucky since it was so late. We did feel safe being in the building because there were 2 sets of locked doors at the entrance to get into the building.
Overall, if we had to visit Milan again, I think we would book a hotel that was closer to the main square with more restaurants nearby.
