Exceptional property, but overall experience was marred by suboptimal interactions/service. Staff seemed like they were genuinely trying, but disorganized and inexperienced. Not nearly as polished as other top hotels in Milan. Will probably stay the Mandarin Oriental, Bvlgari, or Armani again before I would return to The Portrait, which is a shame because the hard product is excellent.

This property is outstanding overall with amazing history! 400 years old, from a Monastery to a Hospital during the war, to the most outstanding renovation I have seen, and now a luxury hotel with great service and a great location - I will not stay anywhere else in Milan
