"We stayed on the coldest week of November when snow was falling and outside temperatures were below 0°c, the landlord controls the heating via an app in the office, we complained over half a dozen times and it was Wednesday before they turned it on, we were sat watching telly in our jumpers, coats and hats. The Hare and Hounds at Speen, Newbury

"Enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at The Hare and Hounds. Our room was The Fox, the room and furnishings were superb. The bar and restaurant are in the main building. Speen is an area just outside Newbury, with easy access to the town if required. Ample free car parking provided. Recommended as we found it to be of a very high standard."

Great food, staff and pool!

"Wonderful hotel. We were visiting from North Yorkshire for a friends wedding. The room was clean and the air conditioning was a god send! My daughter loved the swimming pool and the staff were very friendly and she loved chatting to them. The restaurant was good, slight delay in my daughter’s food, but they whipped it out fast once I’d asked where it was! The play corner was also very much enjoyed (some pieces missing from the toys but still enjoyed by her!) and breakfast was very nice. It was amazing that she was able to eat free whilst staying there too. Would 100% come back when visiting our friends again. "
