“I chose the Solano Inn for my wedding weekend as it was close to our venue and had the room to accommodate ourselves and small number of family members attending. One word comes to mind...meh. It was just ok. The rooms looked fairly clean at first glance, but don't look too close! Don't look behind furniture or at the baseboards and certainly don't look under the bed! We found a condom wrapper under our bed along with a TV remote, hair on the baseboards and light plugs and my brother found...

“The curtains in rooms are damaged I stayed in two rooms in 8 days two rooms had ripped curtains. It gives you a bad feeling, is this a motel ?”

“Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“The front desk and staff we encountered was helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of the room was very impressive. The room had the essentials needed for our stay but it was nice to see we could borrow pots/pans to use the kitchenette if needed. I peronally appreciated that the shower curtain was clean and free of mold. The parking lot lighting was better in certain areas than others but we did not feel unsafe. The breakfast was simple packaged pastries and coffee but McDonald's and breakfast...

“I came in and had to wait 20 min to check in there was children running up and down the hallways I didnt expect the breakfast to be what it was the pool was super hot and the people who were there were all drinking and smoking on the property although they said it wasn't allowed the refrigerator in the room was leaking but I didn't bother to say anything seeing all rooms were booked because of the holiday weekend. All in all I probably will not be coming to this location again.”
