It was very old school.and it was not what I expected. Quite a unique experience because it is so remote. No regrets, you mighr want a 4 wheel drive. I was treated like a VIP.

Clean facility with beautiful view, hiking trails, and and other entertaining contents. The food in the restaurant is just average but well overpriced.

Spacious accomodation with three decent sized bedrooms. Parking was right next to the cabin which was good because the walk up to it was very steep. TV was way too complicated to work.

This place is beautiful. We had the most outstanding sunsets just outside our window. It is isolated and you need a car. Staff are kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Expect to be woken up by a burro with an attitude!

Our stay at Kaluma Villas was very nice. We used this as our home base for exploring La Fortuna. It's a newer complex of villas about a 15 minute drive from the bustle of town. You can take time to visit Vista Golfo Adventure Park during your travels to Tajo Alto. You can seek out the area's ziplining sites and adventure tours.
We ate at the hotel restaurant and only ventured to Miramar for snacks and to check out the area. It wasn't too touristy which we liked. Most of the shops were for local residents. The staff was friendly without being overbearing.
