Beautiful place with amazing hosts

This was one of our absolute favourite places we have ever stayed! The hotel was charming, tucked away in a quiet part of Mirissa away from the main road. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely balcony and hot water. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of different fruits, egg, toast and tea. The best thing, the amazing owners. We felt like we're were at home. Thank you to the hosts for always smiling, looking after us and making our stay so wonderful. In fact, we were sad to leave. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

Søde mennesker, men stedet er på ingen måde 3 1/2 stjerne. Der er intet varmt vand og skimmelsvamp i badeværelset. Én stikkontakt var der at finde i hele værelset, så hvis man er flere, så er det med at være kreativ. Derudover gør jeg lige opmærksom på at overnatningsstedet KUN tager i mod betaling kontant. Overnatningsstedet ligger fint ift. stranden og spisesteder.

Einfaches kleines preiswertes Hotel mit sehr netter Gastgeberin. Die Zimmer waren in einem guten, sauberen Zustand und zudem überraschte und auch das Frühstück positiv. Ebenfalls ein Plus ist die Nähe zum tollen Strand, der in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar ist.

Nice stay at Orchid Rest

We had a nice stay at the Orchid Rest Hotel. The staff was super helpful, even though their english was not great. The hotel was also very hard to find. They were flexible regarding check-in and check-out.

Отличный отель за свои деньги, чисто, вкусные завтраки, хорошее расположение, до пляжа минут 5 пешком, до супермаркета Cargills минут 7. Очень хорошие и отзывчивые хозяева.

Cute place close to the beach

Great stuff and a nice. Very close to Mirissa Beach an a ATM. The breakfast bad lovely. The only bad thing is that the power went out for som hours each day. But that’s not the hotels fault.

Mycket bra boende.

Ett av de bästa boende hitintills i Sri Lanka. Väldigt fina rum, välstädat och mysigt. Detta enligt europeiska mått. Frikasten var kanon. Kvinnan som ägde hotellet var väldigt hjälpsam när det gällde att boka utflykter och taxi. Läget var bra då det låg i mitten på en lite gata. Nedåt gick man till stranden (4 min) och uppåt kom man till den stora huvudgatan. Vi åt gott på kvällarna ( den första Italienska restaurangen på huvudgatan var bra ) men även på stranden där de dukade upp med levande ljus. Inget homestay utan ett litet hotell. Rekommenderas!
