"The hotel was very good value overall. It was clean throughout and although basic everything worked fine. Breakfast was above average and the lounge bar was cheaper than bars nearby. My main gripe is the description; with the photographs being misleading. There are two buildings in the complex each with their own reception (although the staff alternate between the two sites). We went to the building on the beach as this is shown on the booking site, however they told us we were in the other building a few minutes walk away. No dramas but it isn't what we thought we had booked. "

"This was our third visit to the Cerro Mar Gardens. We stayed there in April 2024, February 2025, and February/March 2026. The apartments are comfortable, but not luxurious, and definitely suitable for families. The kitchens are well equipped for light cooking over extended stays and include an induction top stove, a good size oven, a reasonable refrigerato, a dishwasher, toaster, drip coffee maker, and a washing machine. There's a large outdoor pool, an large indoor pool, a gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and cold tub. Plus a restaurant and bar."

"There's no obstruction from the hotel balcony. Perfect views of the sea and fab sunrise and sunset. I will definitely be staying here again. Staff are friendly and as a solo traveller, hotel is perfectly located for restaurants and going to the marina for day trips. Loved my stay."

"This hotel was in the perfect location right in the heart of the historical district. It is a bit loud at night because of its location. But the staff were excellent. The breakfast was great and it was a 30 second walk to the beach."

"Firstly this property wasn’t an ocean view, fake shows in the picture. It’s okay when you want to book budget get away, but definitely not this place. The host was very rude, when I called for check in, she made us wait outside the property saying we haven’t inform them. With the wrong contact details how would it be possible. Honestly I would give 0/10. there were no enough kitchen appliances, the worst thing was water issue, don’t know how could they put this kind of boiler system in the holiday home, where 1/2 people take shower not BATH only shower and the water tank is empty that holds hot water. It means the other person have to wait for atleast 2/3 hours to get hot or warm water to take shower. They could charge e little more but should not treat their guests like this. Haven’t had pleasant stay. I would not recommend this property. if you don’t want to spoil your holiday please do not book with this property. "

"The bedrooms are quite dated and could do with being refurbished, that said they are really clean and our stay was very pleasant. The pool area is really nice, plenty of sun lounges. Reception staff very friendly and accomidating. The bakery underneath hotel isxa must visit. I have stayed here before and will stay again "

"Overall great stay, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Only thing I would keep in mind next time coming to Albufeira is that the breakfast isn’t the best. Very limited options and the same spread everyday."
