Breakfast was a set menu, made on the spot. It was very fresh and excellent. There was fruit, coffee and tea everyday. With the majn meal changing.

This is family own business on a budget. We enjoyed our stay. The people are fantastic and the provided brekfast is delicious.

Don’t want to get into too much detail but out of the three places I stayed at during my week in Costa Rica this was the worst one. They charged me a fee for using the “community” kitchen after 9 p.m. We had just gotten back from a night tour and heated up some muffin bread and had a small snack. Staff was watching a movie on his laptop right outside of our room and didn’t mention anything to us. The female staff were pretty nice and the breakfast was okay.

A great family ran business! The help they provided with booking excursions and shuttles in the area was the upmost appreciated and lead to a great experience in Monteverde. The hotel was a nice quiet place to relax and great ambiance. It was about a 20 minute walk to town.

A hidden gem

Very nice and personal hotel. This was our favourite Hotel in Costa Rica, excellent service. It looks much better and the rooms are bigger than the pictures make it look like.

Unterkunft ist super ausgestattet und sauber. Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, das frisch zubereitet Frühstück wirklich lecker. Auch der Waschservice ist top. Leider liegt die Unterkunft etwas außerhalb, aber wenn man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist, passt es.

Los hosts fueron super amables en todo momento, el desayuno muy rico, las instalaciones limpias, cómodas. Me quedé con mi esposa y mis dos hijos de 9 y 7 años, ellos super contentos en dormir en litera, y nosotros de nuestra cama de buen tamaño. También nos ayudaron con buenas recomendaciones de actividades para los días que estuvimos ahí, teníamos ya algunas ideas, y ellos nos ayudaron a aclarar el panorama y hacer las reservaciones, todas un éxito rotundo :-p. Fuimos a las tirolesas de extremo park, a una caminata nocturna y al ranario. 5 estrellas!

El hotel es muy pequeño, un poco alejado del centro, no es lujoso, pero las habitaciones son muy limpias y comodas. El hotel sirve para una noche o salir de un apuro.

In the heart of Monteverde, yet far enough away from the tourist traps, this is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The family are all *so* kind and helpful, and everything is a short cab ride away. The place is very clean. The breakfasts are delicious. Bed was comfortable, and there was a TV, fan and fridge in the room. The kitchen is open during the day to make your own food. We are so glad we booked to stay at Greemount Hotel.

Amazing stay at Greemont. The family who runs hotel is so friendly and helpful. Mom and daughter cooked us delicious breakfast and son who checked us in helped give tour recommendations and booked some for us. Everything is super clean. Rooms have mini fridges. As well you can use kitchen where breakfast is served. Right down from hotel is an amazing spot to watch sunset! Thanks so much to this family for having us as hotel guests

The staff was very friendly. The space in the photo is a common room which is well-lit and very comfortable. Breakfast was prepared for each guest individually. There was a barking dog next door and a crying baby that disturbed our sleep.
