We had a wonderful week at La Bicyclette. The hosts, Richard and Yvonne were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. At the same time they are very professional and knowledgeable. Breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent room and comfortable bed. Without a doubt, we highly recommend La Bicyclette. Thanks.

This is such a lovely place! I was greeted warmly and shown my room. It was so pretty and clean and spacious! You'll love Richard and Yvonne. They're so sweet. I had a wonderful time talking with them. They're very knowledgeable of the area and can help with suggestions. I'd absolutely recommend staying here and would absolutely stay again!

The Perfect Place to Stay in Montmorillon

What a wonderful experience! First of all, Montmorillon is a charming little gem in the southeastern part of Vienne, and is perfect for an overnight excursion or as a stopping point when traveling across France … and La Bicyclette Bleue is the perfect place to stay. It is located just minutes on foot from the center of Montmorillon and everything you want to see and do is easily accessible. The owners are also just lovely people, who know how to make you feel welcome and give you your space at the same time. They are kind, informative about Montmorillon, and simply pleasant to sit and speak with, with their characteristic English charm. They have transformed their home in a lovely chambre d’hôtes. The guest quarters (and I have to say quarters here) occupy the entire second floor of the front section of the home, and include a spacious bedroom and a comfortable, modern bathroom complete with a shower and bathtub, both on your own private landing at the top of the stairs. Everything is so well-appointed too. From quality linens and towels to decoration, all the little touches really make the place special. There’s a beautiful, manicured back garden, which is the perfect spot for a glass of wine on arrival, and the continental breakfast is copious and delicious. You might even be asked your preference of viennoiseries the night before in preparation. Two thumbs up for La Bicyclette Bleue!

This is the place to stay.

Could not fault it. You have your own suite, consisting of a large bedroom with separate bathroom. Towels and toiletries provided. First class but understated decor. Continental breakfast plentiful and great selection. The owners are welcoming and informative, great hosts. If we are this way again, this is the place to stay.

Un séjour fantastique, Un couple remarquable et très avenant ☺️ Une chambre spacieuse avec un petit sapin de Noël sur le pas de porte et une grande salle de bain baignoire-douche au top !!! Je suis arrivé on m'a proposé un thé ou un café et chaque soir que j'arrive et il m'attendait pour me servir mon petit Thé 😀 Je je ne pouvais pas déjeuner le matin et j'ai quand même eu la surprise d'avoir le soir en rentrant ma panière avec jus de fruit eau ainsi que des fruits et des petits gâteaux 😋
