We visited as part of our anniversary trip and it was the perfect comfy stay. Love having an apartment feel as a hotel room. Very spacious and comfortable
Great location, everyone was helpful and friendly. The place was one of the cleanest we have stayed in. Jose was a great help with our access and parking. Would definitely recommend. It definitely helps if you are tech savvy, but the staff are great if you aren’t.
Not a hotel, but for us, it was better. More than a kitchenette, the full size fridge, stove, and dishwasher made this spot so much better than a standard hotel room. A really fantastic location in the heart of old Montreal—we took some of the other reviews to heart and skipped the car rental but didn’t miss that at all. Montreal transit is great plus we got a Bixi bike rental membership for a month (even though we were just here for 5 nights, we got our money’s worth).

The place was nice and location good, but check in process and parking were a bit stressful.
Our stay was wonderful and the apartment was stylish, clean and stocked with all the essentials needed for our 4 night stay. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was very very quiet. The location is probably one of the best. Central to all prime destinations in old Montreal but tucked away on a quiet side street and we never heard any noise from the road or neighbouring apartments. The building was easy to access and instructions were clear and easy to follow.
I would highly recommend if someone is looking for the perfect location to explore old Montreal but still enjoy a quiet and comfortable nights sleep.
Fantastic location. We could walk everywhere. Quiet street location. Clean room with all the amenities. They thought of everything. Will definitely book this hotel again.
Room was spacious with everything we needed for a short vacation in Old Montreal. It's not super sound proof, we can hear bass music playing from upstairs and a guy was speaking very loudly in the hallway in the morning, but I don't think there's that many people living there at the time so not a huge deal breaker. The in unit laundry was super convenient. Couldn't store luggage in this hotel post check out, but they did offer some luggage storage options in the city for few hours free. The door opening with the website is sorta slow sometimes, a key would make it faster, but to be fair, it was much easier to check in and check out because of this as well.
We loved our stay at this property! Spacious, comfy room with a lot of character and amenities. Close to everything in Old Montreal and the metro to get anywhere else in the city. So helpful on any requests and to store our bags after check out! Highly recommended!
Was a very nice hotel. The room was big and clean. However there's a TV but no local channels. There is no concierge too but there are people on site that helps out

This place is all electronic access. No reception, front desk or concierge.
The location is good, on a quiet alley behind Notre Dame Basilica.
The pictures of the rooms made it seem warm, but our room was stark and austere by any standard. We had a balcony- which unfortunately was filthy (pigeon droppings).
The bathroom has no hooks to hang towels or robes, No grab bar in the shower.
It's as quiet as a crypto and the location a relief from the crowds on Rue St. Paul.
The staff we did interact with were very friendly, helpful and nice.
Not a bad place but know what you’re getting. This is not a traditional hotel. Upon arrival, you’ll get a keypad code to get into the building and your room. There is no Front Desk or Concierge. There is no food in the building, restaurants or vending machines. You’re on your own. I didn’t see any food stores in the immediate area, so bring whatever you want with you. What we did get was a nice size studio apartment w kitchen & king size bed. We had a balcony but it had no view. The accessible shower also made it impossible to take a shower and not soak the entire bathroom.
Hotel Brésoles was clean, comfortable, super easy to check in/out, and located in the perfect part of town for our first trip. We especially loved the washer/dryer and the full kitchen in our unit. We had a lovely and would happily stay again. Our only complaint was with parking. Do not park at the hotel if your car is bigger than a compact. We had a car that was on the approved list of vehicles, so we figured it would be tight, but doable. It was extremely difficult to maneuver, even with one of us outside the car directing the other. We ended up with a broken side-view mirror.

To call this a hotel is a long stretch. It’s an unserviced apartment. Location is good, the apartment is large, but it’s not a hotel. There are no staff. You are the staff. You check in online, providing id details. You use your phone to gain entry - don’t get a flat battery. You carry your bags. It’s like an industrial building converted to apartments. Everything is online.

You are paying for the location, which is great. The place is just okay though. It’s not actually a hotel, it’s more accurately characterized as short term apartment rentals. The AC didn’t work properly, just the fan component worked. Also, there’s no actual staff on site, so if you have an issue or question you text them and it took a couple hours to receive a response. We received a 49 CAD credit for booking but quickly learned there’s not really any amenities to use this on… not even food or drink beyond more coffee pods. We ended up using it for a late check out just to spend it. It’s was odd.
Loved the location though, right in the heart of old city. The bathroom in the apartment was really big.
The Bresoles Hotel is in the heart of old town Montreal. The rooms are more like studio apartments with a large open space, equipped with a kitchen, living room and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is also spacious and has a washer and dryer, a rarity when booking a hotel. I love the Boarding Pass, which allows easy entry into the building and room. It really felt like home away from home. Plus, the WhatsApp is a great tool to communicate with staff. For example, Fran was prompt in responding to any questions or complaints I had.
There are a couple of things that were a bit underwhelming. There is essentially no lobby: You enter the building and there is a tiny space before getting to the elevator. Except for WhatsApp and phone call, there are no staff members physically present and working in the building. Finally, with the location being in the heart of old Montreal, I found it hard to get an Uber or Lyft on time because they have to get through a busy and famous street before arriving, which can be tricky.
Still, if I'm back in Montreal in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Bresoles. It's a unique hotel with huge rooms. I highly recommend it for travelers.
A beautiful, clean, bright & spacious little apartment -- complete with small kitchen & 2 king size beds -- for the price of a hotel room, right in Old Montreal. Excellent value and we liked the self-service feature of the hotel. Was perfect for our family of 4 and we would stay again!
Our only minor disappointment was the common rooftop space, in terms of its 'open' hours of operation (we wanted to sit up there for sunrise but the doors are locked overnight until 9am). Additionally, one of the photos for the property features a number of people gathering in a social setting, complete with food and drink (and additional furniture!), clearly an AI rendering of the space. The reality is that there are simply 4 couches and nothing more and the rules stipulate that no food or drink is allowed on the balcony! I would suggest that photo is false advertising and should be removed from the listing.
This facility is a dream! Once we understood the check in process, the concept was simple and very safe. The aparthotel had everything we needed- including privacy, a dishwasher and washer+dryer. The furnishings were comfortable, clean, and convenient. The room was soundproof. The management was so very helpful. The location is perfect. It’s right downtown in Old Montreal. A convenient parking garage was right around the corner that housed our oversized vehicle. We used the Hop on Hop off bus to get around town. The Basilica of Notre Dame is at the end of the road. As seniors who are non French speakers, the city is very user friendly. Restaurants and Shopping are right out the door. I can’t make enough positive comments regarding this Hotel!
Overall, very pleased! Fantastic area..close to everything, and the room was clean and spacious. If you're expecting a hotel experience though, this might not be the place for you.
Getting in was a bit challenging..needed help from the kind gentleman in the office. The instructions are straight forward once you've done it, but this being our first experience with codes to get in and out, and figuring out the parking situation would have been a bit stressful had we not had help.
A little disappointed in the fact that there was a coffee maker, a filter but no coffee for the filter. Luckily, they had instant packs..lol...least I had something! They do have tea, sugar, Nespresso pods and other items, which were definitely stocked and appreciated.
Tried to check out the terrace, but we couldn't get on it. To be fair, it just rained earlier, so was wet...maybe for safety we couldn't get out there.
No idea where the spa was..not that we were gonna use it, but it wasn't obvious where to find it.
I'd definitely return for sure though..the location alone is worth it. Now that we now how it all works, we'd be fine for future.
