Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Tours

Since it's eruption in 1980 the lands around Mount St. Helens have been recovering, the slopes around the visitor center are dotted with wild flowers and herds of deer can be seen below crossing the streams that slice through the debris flows. The scene may be idyllic but Mount St Helens is still active with the last event happening on January 16th, 2008 when steam began seeping from a fracture in the top of the lava dome.

super spot, to see absolutely
Nice view
Perhaps the most breathtaking hike I've ever done. The level trail wraps around the rim of the valley north of Mt St Helens. Add in clear sky, 40 degrees, and an old buddy to walk with.... Good day on planet Earth.
