"We had an amazing stay! Wish we could have stayed longer! The host were very kind, and the breakfast was so good and a huge variety! The property was beautiful, and the room and bed was very comfortable! Would stay again! "
"The property was ideally situated to tour all the surrounding WW2 beaches. A unique property which was fascinating and of a very high standard. Lovely welcome from Ann upon arrival."
"The host was outstanding! One of the best we’ve ever had. Hotel was in a great location. Close enough to Omaha Beach. Breakfast was excellent as was service throughout the day. "

10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved our stay at this intimate and lovely hotel. The staff was so friendly and had wonderful recommendations for restaurants and directions to attractions.
The only problem for me was the lighting in our room was so dim it was hard to do my face. We will definitely be back if possible!"
"Fabulous! This is a lovely property. Check in was simple and quick. I stayed in one of the more modern rooms in the orchard area. It is really beautiful. Walking distance to all of the downtown and bakeries for breakfast. We loved Bayeux. Highly recommended!"
"This is an utterly charming hotel in beautiful Bayeux. Upon arrival Clemance helped us to rent a car for the next day so that we could visit the D-Day landing. We stupidly thought we could uber everywhere and we were so grateful that Clemance took it upon herself to enquire as to what are plans were. The room was very spacious and clean. We did not dine at the hotel but we did enjoy a couple of drinks there one evening. It's a perfect place to relax and I would be delighted to recommend this restaurant. "
"Villa Lara was exceptional in all categories above!! If you are spending time in Normandy or Bayeaux, hands down this is the only place to stay. Don’t even consider another hotel. The location is awesome. The rooms were very comfortable, updated and clean. The hotel staff especially Julian were outstanding. Even Phillip the owner went out of his way to take special care of us!! Hôtel Villa Lara exceeded all our expectations and made our 3 nights in Bayeaux wonderful!!! Should receive Expedia’s highest hotel rating!!! Mike"
"Fantastic small hotel near the center of town and convenient for everything. The only thing I would mention is to be aware that checking in is only from 5pm until 8pm. No one on the premises at other times. "
"Very unique hotel! We got to stay in the "stables!" It was beautiful converted into a nice room for 3 with a kitchenette and it was very clean. Do make sure you request breakfast when you check-in for the next day if you will be wanting it. This needs to be "pre-ordered."
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here."
"Literally just back from a 2 night stay here and stayed in a family duplex since was for 4 adults which are on a separate block to the main house.
Was a very nice stay overall, big spacious room with an additional upstairs double bed and bathroom, although just the one toilet for both floors.
Lovely quiet grounds to sit in, fairly easy 20 minute walk into the middle of Bayeux and breakfast plentiful buffet style thing.
I have an EV so perfect for me, arrived with about 40% battery and filled up for about £27 on the 22kw charger so happy days!
Staff friendly so honestly no complaints from us.
I would say breakfast is too expensive at €17 per person per night is my only observation."
You can study the exhibits at Le Manoir d'Argouges, a museum with a story of its own, during your trip to Vaux-sur-Aure. Make time for the stunning cathedral and local tours in this walkable area.
