โI booked the La Mada Hotel as it was advertised as an airport hotel and decided being close to the airport was a good safe choice for my first four nights in Nairobi, Kenya. The hotel is 10 miles from the airport and their shuttle is $50 which I was not aware of. But once I was able to get an Uber, the cost was KSH1600 (about $14) which took me directly to the hotel. โThus hotel was clean and okay for the price, however Saturday nights it seemed like a disco...if u want rest don't come here! No fridge, No Ac so make sure the temp before you travel...Aug is cool so we didn't need a.c. I felt safe but for most part in hotel. Staff were more interested in themselves most times...food was cheap in restaurant, r9m service was okay..You can eat for $3-10 dollars.โ
โVery warm reception from the two ladies, helped me to pay the taxi when I arrived because I had no shillings on me so they allowed me to use my debit card on their POS terminal. Room was specious and neat. It was a lovely stay โ
