"The hotel was chosen off Expedia for the proximity to the train station. The reviews were good. I neglected to notice that there wasn’t a restaurant but there were great eating areas close by. The exterior and lobby are deceiving as they appear a bit tired but the room was a wonderful surprise. Much larger than we experienced in both Tokyo and Kyoto. We had a kitchenette that we didn’t use; king size bed, excellent firmness with high quality bedding; a lovely bath area complete with private toilette; shower/bath area; washing machine for clothes and a lovely soaking tub tucked in a private space on our balcony which had two entrances off both the bathroom and the bedroom area. The outdoor soaker tub did have a privacy curtain which we didn’t use but was a nice touch. There was also a nice outdoor seating area on the tenth floor. The city is super safe and we walked home at 3:45 am without feeling concerned at all. I highly recommend both this specific hotel and Hiroshima as a destination. The city is super clean, the merchants are grateful for your business and the residents are so respectful and lovely. The other thing I noted is the drivers aren’t rushed, there is no honking of horns and it seems everyone respects each others right of way. We used the local bus without issue and of course the trains. Super great spot. A real gem. We will return. 🇨🇦💯💕"

"Attended a concert in Hiroshima that meant it was going to be longer than a simple day trip from our main stay in Osaka, so my husband and I stayed the night at Nest Hotel Hatchobori. It’s a small hotel right across the street from Ebisu-cho station for the streetcar line, making it really easy to get to from Hiroshima Station (although Ebisu-cho is just a stop at an intersection, so we almost missed getting off the tram because we couldn’t tell it was a stop 😅). Check in was super easy, the front desk staff were friendly. The room was really small, but it was perfect for a one night, backpack stay. I’d suggest a bigger room if staying with large suitcases. And honestly the best part was the air conditioning - the room had its own wall unit that allowed the room to get sufficiently cold for honestly the best night’s sleep we’ve had all week; some people might find the AC loud, but both my husband and I prefer to have loud fans / white noise running at night for sleeping, so it was perfect for us. The bathroom was nice and clean with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toothbrushes available in case you didn’t bring your own. And in the morning, they offer free coffee, tea, lemon water, and breakfast breads (muffins, scones, mini bagels, etc) in the lobby, which I enjoyed. There are also several konbini and cafes within walking distance"

"The only issue with the hotel was the elevator. There were two elevators for 14 floors and there was always a wait. Good breakfast buffet and good rooftop onsen. I think hotel users need to be reminded that the onsen is fully nude as many people broke the rules."
