“The cheap price was the main reason we chose to stay at the Grand Oaks, although I don't know if I would've booked there, had I known it's on the same property as the old (haunted) asylum. My husband thought it was hilarious, and I, admittedly was a little scared at first but the room was cozy, so felt safe inside. “no allocated parking and basically had to run down stairs when someone moved their car to get a decent spot. remainder of cars had to park on the road. car park was dimly lit which is scary for an older single female. grey slate stairs to get to upstairs room were also dimly lit and quite dagerous for visually impaired people. panel wall heater would not work and no electric blanket but fortunately i had my own heater in the car”
