The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable, but the amenities felt outdated and could use improvement. While the staff provided good service, the overall experience was fairly basic and didn’t stand out. Suitable for a short stay, but there’s room for improvement.
Place was GROTTY & UNKEMPT. Had to ask for more pillows as only 2 provided. Bed linen was clean. Bathroom very inadequate. No plug in the wash hand basin, no mirror, so you couldn't shave in there. Had to get a plastic bowl, balance it on a table in front of the mirror which was on a wardrobe door in the bedroom to shave. No shower curtain so floor, toilet etc. all got wet. A lot of noise late into the night and early in the morning, Breakfast consisted of white bread and cake. Butter and jam. cut up apple and tinned fruit salad, cold baked beans, so called "juice" made with powdered stuff, super sweet. No water but provided when asked for. Unclean table cloth. Packet coffee and tea. No milk, just packet "whitener". No USB for charging phone. Room door and bathroom doors half rotten, terrible paintwork. The whole place needs to be refurbished. Take the GRAND out of the name!!

Budget hotel - does the job for a one night stay, rooms were fine but could do with a little more ventilation.
For the price it’s fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
My recent stay at this hotel was one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, things were disappointing. There was no water in the hand basin, and the air-conditioning in the room was broken (not cooling as it should), making it uncomfortable to sleep. The overall condition of the room was far from what was advertised online.
The service was even more upsetting. The reception staff, Shiyaaz and Simon, were extremely rude and unhelpful. When we raised concerns about our 4:30am airport transfer—which did not leave until nearly 5:00am—Simon began shouting at us instead of assisting. It was shocking and unprofessional behavior. Management seriously needs to provide proper customer service training.
To make matters worse, we were charged $40 for a third towel that was already in the room when we arrived. They accused us of staining it, despite it being on the floor upon entry. This experience was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

When we went threre, No room available for us.
We had to find another hotel at 7.00 pm in the middle of Heavy rain.
All the rooms were full so we had to sleep in some other random hotel they put us in. Mould everywhere, wet floor and sheets. Human poo under bed and in shower. Was the worst experience ever
The property is nothing like the photos. No water in the showers so we had to complain frequently. Floor was back with dust when we arrived and taps were falling apart. Would not stay here again. The staff are nice and admit this place is falling apart.
The Grand Melanesian was a convenient location for an early flight from Nadi airport, but unfortunately that was the only positive.
When we arrived the lady checkin couldn’t find our booking (even though I had the confirmation email). We also ordered a wakeup call at 4:15, but it was made to us at 4:45 (luckily I set my own alarm just in case).
Our room booking said the room had a balcony (it didn’t). It was also a very noisy place to stay (our window was right next to the outside staircase) and you could hear all the noise from the corridors.
When we arrived at the hotel, they did not have a room for us. We paid and booked 4 days in advance. We had to go to another hotel. No phone call or emails were sent to apologize and warn us about their mistake.
We are still waiting to get a refund of this night we haven't spent there.

1 night stay was ok, however, were billeted on the 3rd floor with no lift. Having take and bring back luggage all the way. Thankful to the staff to have helped with luggage. Ok for a nights stay.
