Ski Traveller

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities

Over-priced and disappointing

This place is really bad value for money. There were clumps of dust in the bathroom, the fixtures hadn't been updated in decades. The breakfast was awful. Nobody manning the front desk. The Japanese tatami room and the onsen were OK but these were the only redeeming factors in an otherwise totally disappointing stay. I was expecting much, much more for the price we paid. If it was 50% cheaper, it would've been barely worth it.

Excellent location for skiing in the Shiga Kogen ski resort. The Hotel amenities were very good e.g. satellite TV, hot spring baths, etc but the local area is devoid of any kind of nightlife.
