Loce their self check-in and check-out facilitity, washing machine and dryer are reasonably price, and above all, they have delicious breakfast. Make sure you wake up early for breakfast!

Chose this property because we thought the Toyota Kaikan museum was within walking distance as per Expedia. Found it to be about a 15 min drive away. Rooms are very small like a ship stateroom but very clean. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is very very quaint With a maybe a 25-30 seat breakfast area. A little tight but taking your food to your room is an option. Loved the big selection of freshly made rice balls and very healthy vegetable drinks they had to offer for breakfast. Near lots of eateries, train station and excellent shopping. Felt very safe. We actually enjoyed the experience of a smaller Inn style accommodation.

Very convenient location if you are single and are planning to use the Toyota-shi station for business purposes. Not recommended for family and couples because the room and service spaces are limited. Breakfast is served in front of the front seating area, but again, the space is extremely small for the number of customers so that you might better take food with you and have it in your room.

2nd Toyoko Inn stay of the Trip

This was our 2nd Toyoko Inn stay of our roadtrip. Compared to the Takasaki branch, this one had slightly bigger rooms and beds. It also required automated self check-in (which can be confusing when it can't find your reservation through your name) and parking had to be in a garage a street away. The shower area was old but it offered rain shower option. However, the temperature control of the water is rather tricky as it can be either ice cold jet or boiling hot water within a couple of millimetres' adjustment. The drain hole outside the bathtub tends to foam up too after a bath. Aircon unit had an unpleasant odour when switched on and it lingered throughout the night. Bed and room will not be made if staying more than a night, which was rather unusual. Lastly while the bed offered was bigger than the other branch I stayed, it was rock hard with small, flat non existent pillows. It made for very poor rest and we woke up with neck and back aches.
