"It was as if taking a step back in time.
Drifting off to sleep in a dark room with the snow falling through the positioned sliding windows as to not see any of the surrounding modern day buildings, was a marvellous experience that I shall treasure forever.
Great amenities, a karoke room, natural onsens, a library and not to mention both a wonderful supper and breakfast, not to mention buffet style.
My only regret is not booking another night!

Japanese style room was lovely.
Futon was a bit old, thin, and firm, far from my first but noticable.
Make sure to book dinner, its a walk to other options.

It was our first time at an onsen (we are Canadian) and it was a great introduction as there was both private and public onsens. The view was incredible, of the mountains and valley and we got to sit in a private outdoors onsen while watching a lighting storm. Truely magical. The staff was amazing and very accomodating.
