“Nice looking hotel in a lovely location. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park making it ideal to get out and about either walking, hiking, and cycling in the surrounding area. Waterfall country is about a 30 minute drive away. Very friendly and polite staff. Food was on the slightly pricey side but it was excellent quality. Can’t comment on the pool, spa or gym facilities as we did not use them. The hotel ceilings as well as the room we stayed in...

“An enjoyable stay at the King Arthur pub. Great food with plenty of meat in the pie. All the staff were friendly. We especially enjoyed the man who played the guitar on the Fri evening it made our stay.”

“Very good value. Excellent parking. Staff friendly and helpful when available. Bed comfortable and clean. The fan worked well but lacked its remote control. WiFi signal in the (courtyard) room weak. A smart television with streamer access and stations beyond Freeview would have been appreciated. Had a terrific meal and wine in the restaurant followed by a pleasant walk along a quiet road into Miskin village afterwards. I would happily return.”

“We have stayed at the Vale a number of times in the past. Clean rooms, helpful staff. Normally play golf which is also good.”

“Unfortunately stayed on a weekend with a wedding, where we were on the first floor above the disco. There's non existent sound proofing and sticky doors that slams as you try to close them. Beware there's also no air con or fans. On the plus side, we had a nicely renovated room and the staff were friendly. We would have loved to have used the spa facilities but the swimming pool closed at 8pm and the spa was closed at that bank holiday weekend.”
