Very nice and quiet resort with an awesome pool, 10 minutes walk to the beach area.The rooms were very nice but could be perfect with some more maintenance. The AC was very loud. The Wifi was very good. Meals were very good but a little bit expansive comparing with the restaurants around. We did not use the Ayurvera possibilties but heard that the service is excellent.

Lovely stay in Negombo after a long flight!

Ayur Ayur is a lovely place to stay at the start of a trip in beautiful Sri Lanka. Although we arrived fairly late in the evening and were heading to Sigirya the following morning we were very glad to have booked Ayur Ayur. The room was lovely with a big comfortable bed and air con and a really good bathroom. We managed to make use of the pool in the morning after enjoying our breakfast on the patio overlooking the canal. We wish we could’ve made use of the spa facilities but unfortunately didn’t have enough time.

Pool needs better maintenance, overall nice hotel

the hotel room itself was really nice, super comfy bed, nice bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. The onsite spa was also really good, and reasonably priced - I really recommend the facial massage. There were a couple of not so great points though, the pool area was unmaintained and was more like a pond full of leaves in a shady overgrown corner which was a bit disappointing as I wanted to spend the last day of my trip fully relaxing by the pool. There is also quite a lot of noise from the train tracks near by, really loud bangs and train horns at night. Staff all very friendly and accommodating but I stayed in much better value for money places during my 3 week trip. £50 a night for room only (no breakfast inc) was very steep considering most places I stayed throughout the country were averaging around £15-25 with large breakfasts and good swimming pools included.
