Our stay was pleasant, we really enjoyed the entertainment in the lounge and the breakfast was very good. The front desk staff are great. We were not prepared for the lack of parking, it's almost unacceptable to pay over $300/night and not have parking available. One has to download a "pay by phone" app to pay for parking in a parkade next door and then schlepp ones bags. Highly unappealing!

The best thing was the staff. So very helpful in moving our belongings to our new room when we extended. They took care of everything while we explored the area. The hotel itself is great and in a super location to all the restaurants and bars in town. The pub, library bar, and outside alley bar are all great. The breakfast, if you book direct, is complimentary and was one of the best meals we had in Nelson. No joke.

What a grand historic hotel!! Perfect location to walk the downtown area. Restaurant staff were great and food came quickly. Very friendly front end staff too. Nicely appointed rooms and comfy beds. Note the earplugs in the desk drawer if you are a light sleeper, it is downtown!

A very unique old styled hotel which has been kept up very well over the years. The rooms were not spacious but had plenty of room for one couple. Everything was comfortable and clean. The place itself has so much character along with the lounge down below. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the limited parking, but there is a parkade nearby.

The staff did warn me that we had a small room, but boy was it small. We really had to jam in, but the bed was good and the noise was zero. I did have a chance to sit in the beer garden beside the hotel and that was really fun. We didn’t try the restaurants other than that. The elevator is tiny and barely fits the luggage cart, but it was fine. The one thing that I wished was more clarity on the Parking as we purchased Parking and apparently we didn’t need to. Also, the entrance that is accessible isn’t clear so we had to fuss about a bit and then we finally found it.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room i stayed in was right above the oub ao it was loud. They do prove ear buds in the room but did not help much. I know its wn ild building which i understand but it did umpact my sleep but that is the only thing i can impacted my rating to 4/5 overall stay. I would still recommend it and would stay there again

The Hume Hotel is simply magical! From the historic elements, to the variety of dining options, the Hume is a little slice of heaven. We were visiting Nelson on our honeymoon, and the staff was kind enough to upgrade our room to a double suite. We will absolutely stay there again on our next visit to Nelson!

The room was comfortable for my stay and very clean. The grounds were kept clean as well. Close to everything you could ever need within walking distance. The staff and hotel housekeeping was incredibly helpful and friendly.
