I travel alot staying in many lovely motels but the Milton Chalet was the first one I have ever unpacked at and felt settled and at home. I loved my stay

The chalet was very cosy and comfortable and had everything could think of for a family. The staff were really lovely, welcoming and accommodating to any requests. Would stay again.

We went over to Nelson for an Obedience show. Being allowed our dogs in the Motel is just awesome. The proprietor made us and our dogs feel very welcome . Would use this motel again.

Great but could be awesome
Nice and tidy. Service was great. Shower was amazing. Beds are very old feeling and uncomfy to sleep on and the couch was also very uncomfy and made it hard to relax at night after a busy day.

It was a smashing motel in an excellent location - 15 mins from town. An added bonus was a pub 30 yards down the road.

We had a wonderful time in Nelson which was partly due to the owner of The Milton Chalet Motel. Charming friendly, extremely helpful, went out of her way to make us feel at home. Lovely pool was abonus as it was very hot while we were there. The facilities were excellent.

We found that the cleanliness and service was excellent. The decor and amenities could do with a little refurbishment but overall it met our needs well where it truly counted.

Comfortable, 2 bedrooms, walkable to city, quiet
We were made very welcome and shown to our generous apartment. A good sized lounge/dining/kitchen had all we needed, including a full-sized fridge, and the two bedrooms were big enough to not feel crowded. We were able to park our car under shelter, right next to the door so unpacking/packing was super easy, with no steps in between. The children enjoyed paddling in the pool opposite although it was a bit cold for us grown-ups. It was very quiet with little road noise and a quiet motel drive. We picked up fish and chips 2 minutes away and there is a bar with food as close. We would happily stay again.

Very pleasant 3 night stay here in Nelson. Owner was Super friendly and helpful. Loved my corner balcony on the second level - saw the most beautiful stars at night. Great kitchen for cooking. Only gripe is bathroom was too small and badly configured.

Cosy, convenient & friendly
Convenient location, comfy rooms, great heat in the shower & great views from the window. They’re in the process for f updating the rooms but the facilities were great in any event. The hosts are very friendly & shared useful knowledge & dining recommendation.

The interior was old fashioned and needs refurbishment. The cleaners came regularly to service when our baby was having a nap, and could never come back later as we were the last unit to be serviced. Altogether rather disappointing for a 6 day stay.

The facilities are pretty dated but Unit 10 was the perfect size for the three of us and had all we needed. Motel staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We'd stay there again ss it qas good value for money for our family group.

It was nice enough but too busy for us. Staff very friendly. Smokers next door so couldn't leave windows open and there was no aircon.

The owners were very nice. She was helpful and friendly and showed us to our suite. And our son loved the pool and various floating toys! This is an older hotel but was great for our family - our suite looked good and the downstairs was recently painted and clean. It was a 10 min walk to the main part of town and other trails.
