We like everything in this HOTEL MERCURE!.,. The amazing Food, Antoinette help us how to reach KRUGER NATIONAL PARK and staff was very kind. I recommend this place to star any SAFARI Adventure. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

It's very strange that one room doesn't have an a/c unit. Despite the hotel being full, the room is completely run down. That may be the case where Accor doesn't want to upgrade.

The rooms are a bit dated and the carpet in the rooms are filthy. My son’s socks were black from walking on the carpet. My recommendation is remove the carpet and put down some sort of laminate flooring.

The place is in dire need of a major upgrade. Broken tiles on the steps. Lots of damp on the buildings. Algae in the showers. Broken window blinds. Poor functioning air con I also felt unsafe as there were people playing very loud music in the parking lot and drinking

Reception is extremely bad. Upon arrival told us to go away and come back later they had electricity problems. Telling a client that is tired after a 10 hour flight to go away and come back later….. had to fight to get invoice… pure hell

Standards dropping

I have stayed at the property before, and the standards are dropping. Bongani at reception was amazing, THANK YOU! The property needs serious maintenance. There are clear signs of moisture near the door of room 404. The floor-tiles in the bathroom are loose, the board supporting the vanity in the bathroom is rotten and the silicone that someone tried to apply is terrible. The shower-head is leaking water. The soap dispenser isnt proper, the reservoir is unceremoniously put on top thereof, and often falls off. I had to phone reception to attend to both aircon and telephone remotes were not working, I also had to ask at reception AGAIN the next morning to have it fixed. I also noticed some milldew on the inside of the shower despite the entire room reeking of bleach. MASSIVE cockroaches running around the lounge department

Great location

My stay was average. The place itself was outdated as such i was not able to discern whether the it was the decor that outdated or whether the place was dirty especially the swimming pool . But the place is near the city, opposite a mall so those are huge pluses if you are new to the place. Based on location i gice it a thumbs up.
