“Clean and tidy, excellent location and beautiful views.”

“The Jug & Bottle is a really well run establishment. Attention to detail in all things they do is a joy to experience. Our room was very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices and high quality. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Our evening meal could not be bettered. The menu was varied with a wide range of choices and the wine list excellent. Delicious food and wine and very good value as indeed was the cost of our two night stay....

“Don’t get me wrong, it’s rustic and charming with an interesting history and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was made to order and Sunday roast was impressive. All that’s good, but wear earplugs if you’re planning to get any sleep! The mattress was saggy and had very pokey springs. The location made it very noisy - weekends there are people partying in the streets until 3am and Monday at 4:30am the street-cleaner starts cleaning the block.
