Terrific place to stay
The owners were so friendly and helpful. The b&b was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! It was also a great location and it was easy to get around.

We stayed for two nights and the hosts Glenda and Dan were very welcoming and hospitable. The room was cozy, very clean and quiet. The property was very pretty and close to stores and restaurants. Would definitely book again if we ever come to Truro again and would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

I would highly recommend this gem for anyone staying around Truro. My wife and I stayed here and we felt like we were at home. It's a beautiful property that's incredibly well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The hosts are fantastic people and we got to enjoy great conversations with them and other guests, as well as enjoy the delicious breakfast and baking! Absolutely one of the most enjoyable accomodation experiences we've had.

We had a large comfortable well-appointed room in a home set in a very charming garden. The name Bakers Chest hints at what was the highlight of our stay - fabulous breakfasts put on by very gracious hosts.

You will love Bakers Chest!
We absolutely loved our stay at Bakers Chest! The B&B is beautiful, our room was comfortable, and the breakfast was to die for! Our hosts were a lovely couple who made sure we were well cared for and fed! We can't wait to stay there again on our next trip to Nova Scotia.

From arriving and checking in we had an amazing experience. Linda and Dan are super attentive very helpful. Every morning Linda makes a delicious breakfast. She bake’s all the bread. You feel at home with a sweet butler 😊👍

Keeping it simple, this is one of the best B and B’s we have ever stayed in. Not only were the hosts friendly but they offered little extra touches that made us feel like they really wanted us to have a great stay. Breakfasts were amazing! We cannot recommend more highly!

Dan and Glenda are very friendly and went out of their way to be certain we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. To say the place was clean is an understatement. You can try to do a finger dust test but you'll find none. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast... wow... the breakfast was homemade and a lot of care and attention is put into it. Coffee, orange juice, banana bread, freshly made fluffy Belgian waffles, sausages on the first day and a delicious quiche on the second day. The breakfast started with a yummy yogurt parfait that they also made freshly themselves. The only negative thing I can say is that I regret not finding this place sooner. We will definitely plan a trip that way so we can stay there again. Thank you Dan and Glenda for such an amazing place.

Property was beautiful. The hosts were very welcoming. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast was unique and delicious. Our room was very clean and comfortable with lots of amenities.

Procedure for check-in was a little unclear. I ended up wandering to the kitchen. She appeared a little displeased that I had not rang the doorbell or removed my shoes but there were no signs indicating that I should have. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend it.

Rooms were clean but small. Phone booth shower, microscopic TV. Close to Truro, but stayed in a hotel there next two nights. Less expensive, bigger rooms, much better breakfast and extremely nicer staff.

I am sorry you were unhappy with your room. You failed to mention that you spilled a whole bottle of red wine on the bed which ruined the quilt, sheets and mattress protector, all of which we did not charge you for. The cost of your stay does not even come close to covering the cost of replacing these items. Please feel free to use hotels in the future.

The house, grounds and Glenda / Dan were amazing. I felt like I was home in my own back yard. Glenda is a great cook making everything from scratch. The house was spotless. It was my first B&B experience and I would go back for sure next time I am in Truro.

The rooms are in a beautiful over 100 year old home. The hosts are very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast we were served in the morning was delicious. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We felt immediately welcome and comfortable at the B&B. Breakfast was delicious ; we enoyed the interactin with our hosts without being overbearing. The attention to detail in he room was very much appreciated. The pool was especially welcome, as we arrived on a very hot day. All in all to be recommended. We would love to stay there again.
