"The hotel was full of character,we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite which was absolutely stunning. The breakfast selection was a little different than the usual full English cooked,and was delicious. "I stayed here for a total of 9 nights. I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were very nice. The property was located within a 10 minute walking distance from the Picardy Place Tram and several busstops. Overall about 10 to 20 minutes from the Royal Mile. Both the cleaning staff and front desk staff were phenomenal. Breakfast was very good. Apparently there was some minor confusion about pre-paying for breakfast, check with the front desk for details prior to going to breakfast. The bar was very nice and again the staff was very helpful. Another minor confusion is eventhough this is an IHG property one must book directly with IHG to get the points. If this is an issue check with your booking agent. Overall I definitely recommend this place for quiet little getaway to see the beauty of Edinburgh."
