The Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous and recognized statues in the world. Dedicated in 1886, it was given to the United States from the people of France. The statue is an icon of freedom and a welcome to immigrants arriving from abroad.

Closed after September 11 for security reasons, the statue is now open to the public. Tickets for Liberty Island and to enter the statue can only be purchased from statuecruises.com. Access to the crown is limited, with tickets needing to be purchased several months ahead of time.

The 93-meter Statue of Liberty stands on a 47 meter pedestal for a total monument height of 93 meters (305 ft), making it the largest statue in the United States.

타임스퀘어에 위치해 있어서 교통이 너무 편리하고 우리 객실은 44층 이었는데 타임스퀘어와 도심 마천루가 보이는 전망도 훌륭했다. 객실도 청결했고 매니저가 방으로 일일히 전화해서 방 상태를 체크해 주었고 숙소내 금고가 고장나서 수리 요청했을 때도 신속하게 교체해 줄 정도로 직원 서비스가 훌륭했다. 3박 하면서 느낀점은 투숙객 대부분이 미국인이거나 유럽인으로 아직 아시아인에겐 잘 알려지지 않은 호텔 같았다. 유일한 단점은 슬리퍼를 제공하지 않는단는 것

장점 : 타임스퀘어와 가깝고 위치가 너무 좋았어요. 조식도 진짜 잘나왔어요. 호텔뷰도 시티뷰 좋았어요 단점 : 처음 들어갔을때 쾌쾌한 냄새가 났고 베개에서도 머리안감은 사람 냄새? 같은게 났고, 샴푸가 비어있어서 채워달라고 메모했는데도 안채워놔서 비누로 머리감았어요. 직원들은 친절하진 않지만 불친절하지도 않았어요
