Not worth the money at all!!! So poor quality lobby, room, room service. One good thing is friendly staff Esther at the front desk! The breakfast was okay but they need to use good oil and butter. It was the worse 5 star hotel that I have ever been and I have been to 5 star hotels over 35 counties. Condition is like a motel.

Depending on the purpose of use
This hotel is the best location and everything else is not good First of all, I have seen almost only white guests for four days, but it is not a hotel, it is a white favorite hotel and I felt it as a full business hotel and a luxury event hotel, not a hotel to be used by New Yorkers. It was crowded with various events and parties, and only people with full dresses and suits visited. As a tourist who has not been dressed up, I am a hotel that gives me a feeling of being somewhat passionate. In addition, convenience facilities were supposed to be used mainly by such people. Those who want to visit New York do not want to recommend this hotel. However, it is suitable as a hotel for business and VIP reception.

Best luxury stay in NYC
I’ve been visiting New York for the past 20 years and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at. The service is wonderful! Rooms have a good size (which is odd in NY).

We loved our stay! The stay was exceptional. Just above and beyond. They were amazing. The hotel is beautiful, and we had a wonderful experience with room service. It’s fast! The rooms are beautiful but need a few updates. There are no charging ports by the bed, and the plugs by the bed didn’t work for our chargers for some reason. We had to charge them at the desk area. Although lovely and clean, the rooms need a little tech update to compete with other 5 star hotels in the area.

I recently stayed at the Peninsula Hotel, expecting a luxurious experience given the steep price of $1,500 per night. However, my expectations were met with disappointment due to several issues that should not occur at such a premium establishment. Firstly, various facilities within the room appeared outdated, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, the absence of wine glasses was a noticeable oversight, considering the room's price point. I also encountered a broken drawer, which speaks to a lack of proper maintenance. More concerning was the cleanliness - the sofa was visibly dirty, and the bathroom did not meet the standard of cleanliness one would expect from a high-end hotel. These issues collectively marred what could have been an otherwise enjoyable stay. Will never book again.

Wasn't as great as I had remembered a year ago. Pro side: great location and some great staff including the bellmen. Cons: Rooms a little small. Staff was hit or miss. Room service screwed up the same order twice. Rooms are getting a bit dated. Didn't have the candy bar this time which my kids loved.

Best in NYC
Absolutely the best in service and accommodations in NYC. All around great personalized service from Concierge to front desk to food & beverage! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary for a couple days and the The Peninsula delivered in a big way!

The Peninsula NYC is truly Outstanding! The central 5th Ave location is perfect for easy access walking to shops, parks, restaurants, theatres etc. The hotel is a wonderful example of how to receive an absolutely perfect personalized service whilst staying in true 5* luxury surroundings. Amenities, services, pool and Spa are incredible. The concierge and Guest Relations are the best that I have ever experienced in NYC; the most wonderful, special and luxurious place to stay in NYC!

Check-in process was quick and easy. Front desk staff were very responsive and helpful. The one interesting part of our stay was the accessibility of the hotel staff to the rooms. There were times where they tried to enter the room at inconvenient times. We did not have a Do not disturb sign for the room so I think that was the problem. Otherwise, we had a great time and stay.

The good: concierge staff were better than good, they were stellar; the reception staff and cleaners were lovely. The less than good was being greeted at the hotel entrance on arrival by a staff member who watched me man-handle 2 suitcases up the stairs without any offer of help; the roof bar was closed on Sunday and Monday and was much too small for demand. The restaurant was not open for dinner. All in all, I don't plan to return as there is just too much choice in NYC.

The Peninsula is everything you'd expect from a five star hotel, but more. The service was next level. My wife left something incredibly important to her health in the refrigerator. We realized it when we're at the Newark Airport. I contacted the hotel and the night manager actually drove to Newark airport with the package before our plane took off. Next level service doesn't say enough. Thank you Charlie!
