"Booking a room was misleading because the picture of the room wasn’t the room we were put in , wasn’t told we could order a cooked breakfast, wasn’t told that they had a smoking area, overall the room was very clean , the bed and bedding was spotless, we had tea , coffee and biscuits in room , bathroom was spotless which was very appreciated"

"Bridleway is an outstanding bed and breakfast in a beautiful part of the countryside, about 5-10 minutes drive from Lincoln's cathedral/castle quarter. The owners are very personable and the breakfasts are fantastic. The hot-tub in the Garden Room was an unexpected bonus! Thank you so much for an an amazing stay."

"Having a fridge in the room and a kitchen at the end of the corridor was ideal when travelling with my 3 year old grandson. He loved spotting the dinosaurs from the window. Room was spotless and comfortable. Great service from reception and the staff at the Wild Bistro Cafe"
"The main corridor from lift needs to be improved so that a lot lighter. The bathroom
Very disappointing. So dark could not see control indicators- not every one wants a drench experience no hooks near shower for towels/clothes, no shower gel, shower cap or sani bags. No non slip mat , I was not confident that the tiles were non slip.. Toilet felt insecure as if would cone away from wall, again very dark.
The bed side light was awful, like looking at clear bulb, not near enough to read in bed comfortably. Switches on side of head board difficult to use unless sat up.
Very Bad cold plates for a hot breakfast - why.
On a postive note the staff were professional and helpful, the food at the wedding breakfast was excellent."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club
10/10 Excellent
"Stunning location with really helpful staff, great food. Both Hotel and grounds well maintained and stunning view from dining room.
Look forward to returning for a longer stay next time !"
"Decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant, terrible mistake. The starter was gambas pil pil, spicy prawns. They were dry, no sauce whatsoever and tasted like they had been dipped in tomato sauce. The side salad with it was sad and limp and had no salad dressing. The main arrived, pork, should have been with a risotto, none available so had chips. Once again the salad was sad and limp with no salad dressing. The meal was inedible. The pork was totally overcooked and tasted like old boots. Eventually a waiter came to take away my plate, not to check on the meal. I explained it was inedible, he at least agreed the pork was ruined.
Breakfast was not much better, I picked the cooked items from the hot plates. Bacon, it was dry, left in the hot plate too long, potato, tomatoes, which were burnt and the driest sausage it has even been my misfortune to have on my plate. I asked for a freshly fried egg, it was burnt around the edges and didn't look at all attractive. The cup of coffee I simply couldn't finish. You have serious problems in the kitchen."
"Lovely, quiet, hotel in a residential area very close to the River Trent. Ample free parking, although the staff will need a note of your vehicle registration.
Our superior king size room was fresh, modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. There is an in room kettle, tea, coffee etc as well as a coffee machine with pods
Although we were only there for one night there was plenty of space in the wardrobe and there were also lots of hangers - which makes a refreshing change.
We had Sunday Lunch in the bar which was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were friendly and chatty, prices were very reasonable.
This hotel also has a small, if a little cool, swimming pool. A sauna, jacuzzi and a sizeable gym. The pool area is very inviting and looks like it was refurbished quite recently.
The only disappointing part of our stay was the breakfast. It’s meant to be cooked to order but the bacon was seriously overcooked (as if it had been sat around for a while and had dried out) and the fried eggs given to my husband were very unappealing - their bottoms were an odd green/black colour.
Overall it was a great one night stay and we’d happily stay here again. It was perfect for the event we were attending, the leisure centre was a real bonus, the staff were lovely and the room was very comfortable. It was also great value for money"
