Parking was the only issue, had to pay while waiting for an available spot.

QT Newcastle
Hotel was very quirky and staff were brilliant. The downside was that gym is not actually in hotel but you use one down the street. Also they charge for parking which becomes expensive for longer term stays. Rooftop bar had excellent views over the waterfront.
