"We arrived slightly earlier but Derek had left the house key in door for us to let ourselves in. He called later to check everything was OK and showed us how to open the hottub lid . It was all ready to jump in and very warm. Cottage was modern and everything needed was provided, towels, bathrobes for hottub, cutlery and plates etc. Excellent front garden for playing football with our son. Overall couldn't fault it and had a relaxing stay."

"Lovely warm welcome, beautiful building. Good facilities like a pool to keep my kids entertained. Had a drink on the night from the bar and relaxed in a beautiful room watching baby deer on the golf course. Woke up from a good night's sleep followed by a delicious breakfast in the hotel dining hall. We all loved it and will definitely be back on our next travels through Scotland."

"We enjoyed our stay. Nice hotel, close to the water with beautiful views. The pillows were not great however. It took me a while to get to sleep as they were flat, bumpy and too firm. But the room had everything else that we needed. I would stay again. "

"Room was pretty worn down and there was a wet patch on the carpet that never really dried. But the view of the harbour was great and it was close to the family I was visiting along with the train station. A stale but serviceable stay. "

"Great stay at the Waterfront. Staff lovely and so attentive. Being Coeliac i was well catered for and so much choice for dinner and excellent breakfast options. Room was compact but enough for an overnight stay and for the price really no complaints. Would recommend."

"Had a lovely stay. Breakfast staff were attentive and very friendly. Breakfast was cooked to order and arrived quickly.The leisure suite is a bit tired (jacuzzi was out of action, and looked like it had been for a while) however, this did not detract from the overall relaxed vibe of a charming old hotel. We would stay again."
